Makes you wonder.

Apparently, the Times says the government are announcing it tomorrow.

They are suggesting we stock up and have three litres of water per person, per day, each.

That's an awful lot of bloody water.

The government "prepare" campaign.... their website launched the day after sunak was waffling on about only trusting the tories on national security.

Ignoring the obvious timing and scare tactics involved, it raises some fair points regarding being basically prepared for a power cut, or the water supply being polluted with sheep shit, or a network outage stopping digital transactions etc.

Not sure they've thought it through. Write down important phone numbers, presumably in case your phone where you've got all the number runs out of power which then presents the slight problem of how you phone anyone given we're in the middle of a program to remove everyones landlines

If it is going to be that bad (and there is absolutely no suggestion as to why it might be), it's probably more worthwhile to kidnap a GP and hold them hostage in your sex dungeon. (Everyone has one of those, right? Repurposed nuclear bunker, etc )

Even with a kidnapped GP, it’d still be impossible to see him.

Clearly Labour’s plans to put VAT on private education is going to nudge the country into an apocalypse.

Nothing wrong with having supplies stored away incase anything happens, but not sure 3 days worth of items is worth it. We tend to keep at least a month's worth of stuff plus we have loads of stuff from the garden we can use as well.

We have battery powered string lights for each room, a lot safer than candles and they do pritty well at lighting up areas where you don't want to be fumbling round with a torch, bathroom/kitchen/stairs.

It's because the metropolitan elite use Sainsbury's and they don't want people to panic-buy in there, maybe.

In all honesty does this not make a case for investing in solar, etc? Not that the current weather would help us out much!

We might have to post our addresses in here so we can write to each other and send the letters by rat or radioactive pigeon or something....

I believe my wife started some time ago. I'm sure there's stuff in the bottom of our freezer at least 10 years old!

Yeah, just checked mine and it took me ages to work it out with many of them, because the best before date was in Roman numerals.

Sounds like the apocalypse is nigh. One of the essentials is an audio clip of Ally McCoist exclaiming "Oh no! I don't believe it", right?

Okay, so my missus and I talked it over and though we don't think there is much in this, we decided we had better stock up just in case.

So we cleared out the garage and have stuck a few essentials in there.

Not too OTT is it, you reckon?

That's just the one wall. I didn't take photos of the other three.
