Would be relatively happy with a point but no reason why we can't nick it though.

  • Stevenage are 3rd from bottom in the form table having lost 5 of their last 7 games. W1 D1 L5. Although their win was at home to 3rd place Accrington and the draw at home to 1st place Notts County.
  • They have the 5th worst defense in the division conceding 29 goals but 7 of those came in the 7-1 away defeat to Luton.
  • They have scored in 100% of their home games this season but only kept one clean sheet.
  • They are very much a first half team at home having been in the lead at HT in 7 of their 9 games. They've scored 9 and conceded just 2 in the first half of matches but in the 2nd half scored 8 and conceded 11
  • Striker Danny Newton has previously played for Hinckley, Nuneaton, Leamington and Tamworth and scored 7 goals since turning pro with Stevenage this year.

I think Nazon has a one match ban for 5 yellows?

If so I'd change McNulty for Ponti

I wouldn’t drop Shipley, slightly negative bring back Stokes?

This is where we need to press accelerator, they are a huge downward spiral.

Go all out. Win 4 nil.

One Change from yesterday’s team start Nazon (if he’s not suspended) in place of McNulty.

Subs...

Dion KE
Stokes
Stevenson
McNulty
Ponticelli
Vincenti

Nazon is a better impact player IMO. Woukd leave him on the bench until 60 minutes.

Yes you are correct, it's the Crawley game he misses

A few uncertainties around a few at this stage I'd imagine... did McNulty pick up a slight injury or was that early sub tactical, and Jordan Shipley, how's he recovering. Only cramp so I'd imagine he'd be good to go again.

--------------Burge----------------
Willis--Davies---McDonald--Haynes
---Jones--Doyle--Kelly--Shipley---
---------Biamou----Nazon--------

I'd stick with the same back 4 and the French connection up top.

McNulty picked up a knock.

Will be a good test to see how he gets around the bus they will park.

There's a Yates's I think a couple of minutes from the station en route to the ground. At least, there was when I last went there.

Any idea why the ban is delayed and doesn't come into effect for the Stevenage game?

Let's go and win this.

Two away wins on the bounce might keep the completely unnecessary doom and gloomers away for another couple of weeks!

I think this is league policy - clicks in on the 7 day mark

Burge
Willis-Davies-Rod-Haynes
Jones-Doyle-Kelly-Shipley
Biamou
Duck

However, with Robins doubting Shipley's fitness, there may be a chance he starts with the team that finished Saturday. Stokes at full back and Haynes on the left.

Seems to be some uncertainty when it comes into effect. 7 days some quarters are saying so it makes him available for Tuesday and suspended for Saturday

If no Duck then time for Ponti to get another run out.

Shipley is key because he isnt as clueless as the rest and can actually see a pass and create something.

It was cramp at the end so match fitness will help.

It hasn't been 7 days for a few years now. Robins also said in the pre-match interview that he misses Tuesday.

I was just going on what our informative Clive and Geoff said Saturday after the game and the census on here.

That to me suggests what my initial thought was on Saturday that it was a "tactical" 5th yellow he got. But then I'm also sure the slates wiped clean at the end of the month??
