Right.

So I'm pretty steaming but.

Everyone loves Stephen pressley who has any sense about them. Never heard that much praise for him in any songs. I just reckon next big away game we give him loads of "pressley give us a wave" and all that, and loads of songs to let him know we appreciate him. If I was a manager of cov regardless of the owners and circumstances id appreciate a bit of recognition whatever league and position we were in!

If you agree then say so and if not ill probably delete in the morning when I'm sober but

I still think the previously mentioned 'dress like Pressley' at an away game would be funny! All don Grey 3 piece suits and brown shoes as a way of saying 'thank-you SP'!

Stephen Pressley is the best thing that has happened to our club since JH. Anyone pressing for his sacking is a complete idiot!

No, I assume he is saying that he does not get enough credit. That is very true -- his ability to remain enthusiastic and positive in the wake of such adversity is highly commendable. However, I have a nagging belief that if we were still at the Ricoh and playing in front of a normal attendance some would be turning on him. When appointed hardly anyone welcomed the appointment.

I agree entirely ( can't believe that I have just said that) but think that time has altered many peoples opinion. SP is a very good Manager and one day will one of the very top ones. Sadly, it will not be with us!

In terms of the state of the club and the team when he took the reigns, you could easily argue he had the toughest assignment of a new City manager for many a year. He didn't have the biggest impact when he first came in, the football was average (from what little I saw) and over the summer he had to slash the wage budget and made a bold move of telling some first team players that their future lied elsewhere, some of which surprised a few City fans.

But he has got us playing some pretty decent football, and you wonder that if he had half the resources that some other recent managers had, how far could he have taken us? I still can't decide if he has fallen lucky with Wilson. Has he helped mould him in to the scoring striker he is? I know he played him a lot towards the back end of last year but was it out of necessity? Or has Wilson always been likely to become a good prolific striker once he got injury free and a run in the team?

Personally I agree that Pressley is exactly what we need right now and I hope he is around long enough to be in a position to benefit when (or if) the clubs fortunes are turned around. He's dedicated toward the club for now but how long can he put up with the bullshit?

So the knives are out because we have a few idiots that are blaming him for our predicament and not SISU?

Yes we could sing a few songs for him.....but that would count out the 'home' games as they seem to be quieter than a morgue.

A couple of texts to CWR and the odd crackpot call in the phone in does not indicate any pressure / groundswell of discontent. Most see the fantastic work done by Pressley under the most trying of circumstances. My only worry is that sooner of later he will just decide (probably correctly) that he has done all he can and move somewhere where he is backed and not have to worry about all the other horse-shite that comes with us at the moment.
Of course, as pointed out above, if we were still at the Ricoh he would somehow be under more pressure from the (implied) lower calibre of supporter that would be in attendance. "Normal attendance" would be plain awful and thankfully Pressley is being spared this.

Thought Robbins was better last season. Club is in a dire state as we all know but the results since Xmas have been pretty awful and we leak goals left right and centre. Would I want him sacked? No way - who could we get that would be any better?

If the players put in sub-standard performances then yes they can be blamed. And there have been quite a few this season. The only two consistent performers are Wilson and Murphy (and previously Leon). Am I supporter of SISU - no! The squad is weak but not much weaker than most of the other teams in this division. Look at our defensive record... Not a wonderland for me

The big test will come next season, with no embargo shackling the club Pressley can bring in the players he wants, there will all probably be freebies but will indicate exactly how he wants us to play. I just hope he can work without the clown Waggott putting his oar in.

Agree next season is major test. Not sure that no embargo means he can bring in the players he wants. It is going to be very limited, if any funds, and so likely to be looking for scraps with free transfers, out of contracts etc. He will very much be shopping in the clearance aisle at Aldi.

Agreed. But that is part and parcel of being in Lge 1 and Lge 2. Very few pay a traditional transfer fee.

Not sure whether our situation off the field puts some players off. I know it wouldn't fill me with confidence if they were trying to sign me. But it would depend on what other options I had I suppose.

Crucial part highlighted. Basically, if you had any you wouldn't choose us in current state. We will continue to be bottom feeders extraordinaire.

Not sure I agree with this mate. I understand what you're saying but I think most players know that our situation is temporary. If I was a league one player I'd see it as a good opportunity to get in with a club that's likely to get promoted in the next couple of years, has a big fan base, and is going to be back at the Ricoh sooner or later
