Oh Don, don't say that, am totally depressed about my team enough as it is.
Futile hope, but am banking on the JR to change things.
Want to be sitting in Block 20 on the halfway line in August. With 25,000 of us there.

Exactly.

Since the turn of the year we have won 5 out of 23 league games. That's just not good enough in my eyes.

Since pretty much every Sunday pub football team in UK's financial state is better than ours I think its completely understandable

Especially seeing they don't have to play in League one either

9th in League One is good enough for CCFC,

Better than last year, albeit lower points total. Would have finished 13th with the 10 points back.

Yep you're right, especially our poor form at home, and Shrewsbury doing the double over us

Surely in the position we found ourselves in at the beginning of the season and the fact that we're always going to lose players through the season then thinking anything more than mid-table was unrealistic. Pretty sure 90% of people were talking relegation at the start of the season. But you know, let's get a new man in again and see how that works out this time!

the poster was saying that without the 10 points, we would be 9th !.

With the 10 points, it was always going to be a battle to stay in contention with top half.

Next season we should be challenging for top 6 or some people have failed !

Ferguson recommended him. He only recommends the best!

Anyway joking aside, SP is not perfect, but I think he has done very well this year overall. He is still a relatively young manager so I think he is still learning from mistakes/experience.

I think we also have to acknowledge that his remit is wider than the first team and their results, he's been brought in to restructure the academy to integrate it with the first team. Someone posts an interesting interview with the new academy boss that talks a little about that.

Not wishing to knock your post ,but do you realy believe we have( or will have ) the players to challenge next season . Like Presley ,however he did get the job cus he said he liked to bring kids through early . Good for finances but when your hovering in the third division, and the youngster has cut his teeth and showed promise somebody comes in and its ta ta sky blues

Buster, you might be right, but, on the plus side.....

1) At the moment we have one of the best strikers in the league
2) We have one of the best young managers in the league
3) Despite the drop in budget, we will still have a very competitive League One budget next season.

You gotta believe that SISU are going to give Pressley some signing on funds to pull his team together. If they dont, then who knows !

Hope your right about the funds . The past few years ive missed the anticipation of new signings ,wondering wether they are the ones that can make the team winners or not .Last year started well but then again hoofroyds team did . Second half of the season is when individual skill and player quality shines . Managers tactics fade a bit then .IMO
