NEWS: Assistant Manager Steve Taylor absent from role due to illness

Sounds quite serious!

Maybe him not being there is why we lost? Get back!

Is a bleed on the brain due to impact like a head injury or is it something that can just happen?

It sounds good he is at home resting though rather than still in hospital!

Sounds nasty, hopefully he recovers. Sounds like it could take a while though, maybe we need to get someone temporary in to assist MR.

Just didn't know if it was something that can be brought on or if it's impact related. Being a Google DR I can see that a few things can cause it

Bleed on the brain could also be a stroke or blood vessel bursting

Whatever it is, hope he recovers well!

I don't think we'll be seeing him in the near future, hopefully I'm wrong.

Scary. Get well soon Steve. I hope the bleed is easily explained and not something more sinister.

I know someone who had a similar problem. She is OK now but problem was never fully understood and nothing sinister found.

Sounds like it could be an Aneurysm! My Dad has one at the minuite. Let's hope they can get him in and sorted out quicker than my Dad. Found out long before Xmas he had it. Put on numerous medication to keep his blood pressure down and told not to over strain, do anything to get his heart going too much, get stressed, smoke etc etc for fear of it exploding. Been off work for 6 months. And they've only just set a date for 4th Sept

Explains his absence last week, wish him a speedy recovery.

On a side note let's hope MR is not like Brian Clough without Peter Taylor.
Some managers need there trusted mate to lean on and bounce ideas off.
I think MR has only worked in one job without him at Scunthorpe until he came to join him in a scout role

Cheers mate. Ball seems to be rolling now, just seems to of taken an age. After the initial "shit, we need to sort this fast" from the doctors it's dragged on and on. The doc who was meant to operate retired, then they had to find somebody else who wanted to do all there own tests. Got a date now at least. Only been 11 months from finding it.
Like I say, let's hope they can get Steve through quicker and get him back on the touchline.

Best wishes to Steve Taylor and hoping for a complete recovery. The club have acted swiftly to appoint a temporary replacement. I am sure with tests and a period to ensure there are no relapses Steve's recovery time is likely to be months rather than weeks.

The club seem to have made a good appointment.

Nick , a blood vessels bursting in the brain is a brain hemorrhage !!!

It just depends how severe the bleed is witch determines if the patient recovers !!!

My father died aged 55 of a massive brain hemorrhage , it killed him instantly !!!

So the signs are good for Steve Taylor , get well soon Steve .
