Back page of Telegraph. Cost cutting. Agreed to end rolling contract. Not sure what I think about that.

Two ways of looking at it I suppose but AT is now expected to do a job with even less players and now even less help?

Can't link yet as is on subscription site for Telegraph and I can't link photo from iPhone on here. But that is the long and short of story. Says he was popular with players, and mentions Carsley's promotion to first team coaching but that is all it says. Claims an exclusive and no quotes.

Could it be Carsleys imminent promotion to first team manager and wants his own people in ?

Just my personal opinion. Think it is time for a change, maybe a change in coaching staff will bring the best out of the players who have been underachieving for the last few years.

Don't disagree, but i ask the question why get rid unless serious change was imminent.

I first heard about this two weeks ago and posted it under the staff redundancies thread.

I think it has nothing to do with any change in coaching/managerial direction, just more desperate cost cutting from the people at the top.

I fear we are closer to the brink than many people think.

I am beginning to think that success this year will be relagation to league two, it will at least mean we have had a football club to support in the coming season.

The fact is at the end of the season Carsley got promoted to the match day coaching staff, as a result SISU and Board wanted to keep the coaching staff numbers the same. As a result Harrison has had to leave! Thats the way i see it any way!!!

Though I do think Harrison was part of the problem, not the problem its self!!! I also think we should working with the universities (Warwick or Coventry) to get a fitness coach in!!!

Harrison has been here since 2009?? And in that time we have been very poor under 3 managers, he should have gone when Coleman was sacked IMO!!!

You'd have to assume At is in on it ,whether it be his choice or sisu's cost cutting, but this aspect is what i took from his immediate statement post Southampton regarding restructuring .

Firstly i am only from now on going to think positively about the clubs situation, mainly because it makes me feel better.

I can only see this being an agreed part of the takeover, and whoever is coming in has instructed them that they wanted new blood in the coaching position and this will be done once everything else is settled. They did'nt want to renew Harrisons contract then have to cancel and pay him off in a few weeks when the business of the takeover has been sorted out.

It will be interesting to see if Harrison gets another job soon,he may have been poached by a club, and also if he comes out with any parting comments on the goings on at the Ricoh, which i hope he does, as its the only way us fans can find out whats going on at the club.

I believe positive thinking is much better for your health, i'm fed up of nothing but bad news.

I suppose because when the embargo is eventually lifted, we need to be able to move very quickly to get players in. Without Waggott, who is there who actually knows anything about transfer and contract negotiations?

Good point, he will be earning his money in the next 14 days when the embargo is lifted and we sign all these players that will convince fans to get their season tickets and mak the most of the early bird extention
