Many parents of differing ages have said farewell to their child. It's not right and against the natural order of things. My condolences.

Jeez, sounds sudden as well.

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation extended its condolences to John in a statement.

The statement read: “The TTFA, staff members and players of the men's national senior team extends deep condolences to former national player and current assistant coach Stern John on the passing of his daughter, Nikela. Nikela, 19, passed away on Thursday evening at her Cunupia home due to medical causes still to be determined”.

According to the TTFA, John was on his way to a national practice session at Ato Boldon Stadium when he received a phone call that his daughter was not well. He went to her home and she died later that evening.

RIP.

Thoughts are with him. Will never forget when he came back from a loan spell at derby and they were booing him at the Ricoh so he scored and celebrated in front of their fans. When he was up for it good player for us!
