With a lot of these footballers stories, especially on under the cosh I'd take these with a pinch of salt.

Would never happen in our squad. Couldn't imagine Latibeaudiere knocking out a bouncer

Wasn’t David Pipe a winger? Don’t remember him being well built. He was no Mo Konjic

Davenport wasn’t on loan to us. He was our academy player and was sold to West Ham

David Pipe was a handful and stacked, he used to hang round with my mates brother. We met them a few times Pead, Fowler, Miller decent enough lads.

Agree on Lati, but I reckon Thomas, Ellis and Bidders could handle themselves.

Can’t believe how much he was faffed around at Liverpool. Benitez sounds like a prick and Houllier, at Villa, didn’t sound much better.

Really enjoyed this episode. Working my way through the others, I highly recommend Mark Crossley and Kevin Lynch. Currently 20 mins into Alan Rogers, hilarious so far. Any other decent episodes?

The Mark Crossley one is the best talking about Stuart Pearce playing for England and Brian Clough.

Mark does a great impersonation of Brian Clough.

Sheridan (John's brother who played for Barnsley) is a decent one

Can't think of any others off the top of my head but I've posted some good ones on here before I'm sure

Ben Turner one good, keeping it City Themed. IIRC talks about he and other academy lads being summoned to find Doyler’s teeth after Rob Page chinned him.

The Malcolm Christie two parter was really good, as was Jason Lees. Just listened to the Mark Hateley one which was interesting too.

I thought Hateley's one was pretty dull tbh, more him name dropping but no really funny stories of note.

Never heard of the player himself but look out for Simon Ferry. Some crazy stories about Thomas Gravesen at Celtic and Paolo Di canio at Swindon.

Glen Little's one is very good also.

The Leroy Lita one was decent, he mentioned we and some other clubs offered him more money in the summer of 2009 but he decided to join Boro under Southgate

Wasn't he sold to Spurs at the start of the following season, at the time Warnock was on loan in 2003-4 Callum Davenport was still our player

Yes that’s correct, he was sold at the start of Peter Reid’s season.

Was a bit gutted at the time as he looked class. But based on the career that followed and the shit he got involved in it was good business.
