Wingy, now i'm bloody confused.I'm not getting involved ever again in rumouring, but I've just walked by my local newsagent and in big letters it says" free Rangers striker to sign for the Canaries Today".
I'm not walking back down there to take a picture as proof, before Torchy asks.
Lets just say I might be right and, i might be wrong, but no more rumours from me,ever

This is why you should always buy papers and read the article

Whittaker was only confirmed on the Norwich official site today so it could be him but then it doesn't make sense if it said striker.

How good is your eye sight?

Performed averagely for Hearts in his time there though generally held in decent regard by the Jambos (then again, so was Kevin Kyle). In all, a striker who should be right at home in the third tier of English football.

I've heard of him, that's all I can say..

Always a bonus when you sign someone you've actually heard of!

Just shows how totally off the mark the rumour mill was. People suggesting Earnshaw, Healy, Heskey? Beatie.. Lol

To be honest we could have signed Ronald McDonald and I'd be pleased,

At least we've set the ball rolling now...

Just glad we have an extra body, I also remember everyone slagging Plattini when we signed him. He did an half decent job for us, even if he was not a prolific goal scorer, that's down the Cody IMO

1 in every 5? That's shocking for a striker.

9 goals would probably make him City's top scorer mind.

Blackpool and Sheff Weds are also interested in Fleck. Says he has other interests than money though.

So this is our experienced international footballer, hope he comes good, hopefully not another Kevin Kyle who also was dubbed as an experienced international.

Fleck is a winger apparently so can't see it interfering with this signing. At least I hope not

I am delighted to hear we have bought a player. I am delighted it is a striker. I hope this doesn't conclude our business, naysayers would be better off realising even a player they don't rate is better than no player at all. Welcome to the Club, for all the shit we give it I will be there week in and week out next season, hoping that you play well in a more successful season than I have seen in a while.

Hi, new poster to the site.

Thought it was worth mentioning that Elliott played the full 90 mins in the Scottish Cup Final so must have been reasonably rated by Hearts. Also, the link below shows one of his goals at Sunderland, he obviously had something about him when he was younger. Whilst his recent goals record is poor he may just need a new start (he may also be useless but we won't find out for a month or two...) and at least it is a player coming in the right direction..

He won't be given a month or two before quite a few fans decide wether he is shite or not.

Welcome anyway Elephant

Let's not rush to find reason to complain, why not judge how good he is based on how he plays for us?

Well, reading this thread it seems many have decided he's not good enough already.
