Sky Blues chief executive Tim Fisher risked the wrath of fans by joking there should be a statue of Sisu boss Joy Seppala outside a new stadium.
Mr Fisher told the Telegraph it was a “tongue in cheek” quip while facing questions at a public meeting with the Coventry City London Supporters’ Club.
A report of the meeting was posted on fans’ websites, which quoted Mr Fisher as saying: “They should put a statue of Joy Seppala outside the ground for the £45million she has put into the club.”
