Statement signings if we go up? (49 Viewers)

Who would you want? I’d love Charlie Cresswell, think we shown interest before he went to Toulouse. Probably have to pay £20-30m now, not sure if it would be realistic.

Rushworth
Charlie Hughes
Jordan james

But you would think doug has been creating a shopping list with frank since january.

Possible loan for Harvey Elliott

I’m ready for some flack here as I know he’s had some dodgy seasons, but if we can’t get Rushworth I’d look at Ramsdale. Apparently Newcastle might not take up their option on him with them looking at Verbruggen from Brighton.

Great shot stopper, was phenomenal until he wasn’t at Arsenal. Bit of a shithouser, still young for a keeper, and you’d think he’d be available when he returns to Southampton.

Ben Chillwell and somehow convince Ruben Lofus-Cheek to give up Champions League and Milan to rejoin Frank….

Carlos Forbs and Cucuo Hernandez would be some real statement signings at the top of the pitch too

I keep annoying my Italian Milan supporting mate at work by saying I wouldn't be surprised if Frank tried to get Loftus-Cheek

Agreed, and I can’t see us dropping the £40 million that would be required, Plus probably very high wages, and some bad injuries in his career already with this season being a write off for him due to other circumstances.
They wouldn’t ask 40m. The villa clause is 35 and he’s barely played this season. He’ll be desperate to leave and be guaranteed a big role too.

Didn't realise his contract is up next year, his injury problems are a worry though regardless of fee, he’s barely played this season due to Villa not wanting to trigger the obligation, but he’s been on and off injured anyway (including currently)
Massive risk for a newly promoted side if he wants anywhere near 100k per week.

I’d like us to do most of our recruitment abroad. Torp 2m, Hamer 1m, MVE 4m, Wright 7-11m, Sakamoto 2m. Feel like with a bigger transfer kitty and the premier league attraction we’d be able to find some gems.

Peck from Sheffield United and a 25 goal a season striker please

If unable to get Rushworth, James Trafford.
Tyrell Malacia at LB.
Harry Wilson RW. Out of contract.
Franculino.

We will need at least four with substantial or decent Premier League experience.

Bringing in players from Europe may mean it takes too long for them to settle. Especially as the first season up is probably the hardest to stay up.

Preference for me would be Ramsdale to Brighton in that case
