What would be in any deal for other investors in the stadium and even if there was they would still have to deal with our owners somewhere along the line(something I would,t). The club would still not own anything CCRFC (Sharp) would have the final say .Non starter for me .The owner have to go ever avenue they have had has or is being closed. Bite the bullet drop the legals and get down to meaningful talks with Wasps

Why would it be any different then to having CCFC playing at the BPA and having a joint venture with CCFC?

Yeah, so why say it then? When he's already got a deal with the club?

He won't deal with sisu Nick. Ccfc are owned by sisu. If he deals with deals with ccfc he deals with sisu. Simple as that

For what it's worth I think it's a complete non starter and we should be finding other alternatives that are actually realistic.

All those that didn't believe about Jon Sharpe not allowing more than 12k capacity might finally believe it.

There is no game in town other than the Ricoh and I don't believe there is a game in any other town. The answer is simple drop JR2 or go and play at Sowe Common or the Memorial Park. This is the straw that's going to break the camels back but whose back our clubs or sisu?

Nail - head - hit

Not seen anyone pick up on "The realisation of such a solution would require the full support of the City Council and all other stakeholders and an end to the current disputes involving the owners of CCFC and the City Council and other parties" part of the statement. Just cannot see it happening - just more smoke & mirrors. TF & Co think they're dealing with idiots in us fans, when in reality they are simply trying to take advantage by pacifying us in appealing to our general continued desperation to resolve the plight

...onwards & upwards PUSB

So if there is sufficient demand to hold a party in your street...the organiser decides it is going to be in your front room. You say "No way"...it's all your fault when the party goers are looking for someone to blame!?

Does this mean Tim was lying?

I hope not. He would really have gone down in my estimation if he is. Up to now he has been straight doen the line.

Frankly I believe 6K with expansion possible to 9K is more realistic, why does Cov need any more, they are not going to eclipse Wasps?

Why would CRFC provide the facilities and only take 50% of the profits?
So many disconnects here.

They only give them on CCFC match days. Not the 365 days that Fisher says he will get.

In the end Fisher has an interest in having an option to help negotiate a new competitive rent deal with Wasps and to divert from previous found our BS, Sharpe has an interest in an unlikely but potential revenue stream as long as he offsets criticism remgetting in to bed with Sisu, who many of his customers dislike. A vague win win.

Will it happen, no chance. Sisu won't invest millions which will takes decades to recover. They want out not a deeper commitment.

CRFC are going to develop the Butts, but it will take years. Yes CCFC are an option, a potential revenue stream. Whether they will still be in the main football leagues by then who knows.

Too early to get excited by this. If it was a real goer and imminent the initial statement would have been a joint one. I won't be holding my breath.

Don't forget, this is a statement aimed at Cov Rugby fans...who probably don't want their club to get involved with SISU and a 12K capacity would be more than enough for them. It doesn't strike me as getting into a partnership, simply If CCFC want to rent, like they do at the Ricoh, dare say this would be acceptable to the rugby club.

Either way, no progress towards us getting better income streams which is what apparently we are crying out for...and no "stadium and club" package that is vital if you want to sell.

It's like the Butts is just bargaining chip for SISU to get a better deal from Wasps. Scandalous if true.

FFS.... all of you dreamers that think we have any chance of playing at the BPA just stop and think beyond all of the romance and look at not just the logistical problems but the relationships between "ALL" of the parties concerned.
It's a complete non starter under the present regime at least, and at best it's just REALLY not good enough for where we think we should be.
Where we go and what we do....... no one knows.

The road network around the BPA is gridlocked with a crowd of 3,000 fans. No additional parking in Earlsdon or Spon End, this is more smoke and mirrors and will not happen.

Because they need our rent money and CCFC at the Ricoh for naming rights.

Twice now Jon Sharpe has had to make an announcement so to put it bluntly as some on here hang on to Tim Fishers words like a shipwrecked man does a peice of driftwood.

Cov Rugby will not deal with SISU, they see CCFC and SISU as the same, they've said it at a fans forum and to anyone who approaches them at the BPM. You can argue on here until we get promoted back to the championship about SISU and CCFC being separate but it's the veiw of the board at BPA that matter.

Ask him:
This for starters and then you have the build cost on top of that. Hows that going to be funded? Where's the split in sharing that cost? Where is our share going to come from? Tim says his has the investors in place are these investors outside of SISU? If so why do we need SISU again?

I was eleven in 87 said:
Coventry City have already taken part in preliminary discussions and have set a three-point remit in notifying the MP they are calling for “active not passive support from Coventry City Council” regarding…

  • “Putting Coventry City front and centre-stage in the community.”
  • A future stadium solution for the football club, with the club’s preferred option remaining a return to an inner-city home at an expanded Butts Park Arena, groundsharing with Coventry rugby club in a stadium of potentially 15,000 to 25,000 capacity.
  • A future home for the club’s ‘lifeblood’ youth academy, with one potential aim of relocating it next to a new training facility.
It is understood the Football League, Coventry City Council, and the football club’s parent company Sisu have agreed to take part in the process.

Can someone please clear this up for me.
What do CCFC have to enter mediation talks with CCC for?
Yes I know there is a legal dispute with CCC about the Ricoh, but that's got nothing to do with CCFC now saying they want to ground share at the BPA.

Because Duggins has said he would not deal with CCFC while legals are on
Therefore they are an affected party by association and therefore should be able to add their twopennyworth

Why ask me? Tim is the one who says investors lined up not me. Brylowes has asked why you need investors if you're renting. Also a valid question. Every time Tim opens his mouth the picture gets foggier and if it's about the BPA JS seems to have to make a statement the next day for some clarity.

No point asking me. I'm not the one muddying the waters. Just one of the many trying to make sense of it.

Butts my arse. Cov Rugby club won't deal with Sisu clowns. Wasps don't want Sisu. Sisu are the poison killing this club and are running out of options so Fisher resorts to bullshit. The only thing he's good for. Bullshiting asset strippers. Who wants to do business with that?

Ask him what?
Ask him why he's going to rent a stadium and also contribute to the build cost of the stadium,
Or does he mean we have investors in place to help us pay the rent.

To be honest TF has changed tack so many times on what we need and what we are planning
To do, I wouldn't really blame him if he's confused, I know I am.
