But when you start to bringing the death of that poor kid into the argument, just to try and justify your hatred of the council, FFS you are something else buddy.

to clarify SkyblueBazza im talking about the fact that the council are absolutely hardball, they could not care less about the club or the fans, like they dont care about children, the elderly and the infirm, the homeless and those in need, they are so inadequate - you have to know of the cases we see to realise just how terrible the council are - im not advertising the campaign friend. Im so sick of hearing about the big bas sisu and otium - the council have been wholly to blame for this debacle from the very start - you can not beat the local authority - they will never give in - that is the way of the country now - they are so powerful now. Thats waht i need to clarify - this is a game for Ms Lucas nothing more, its about her power -- read her list - she is living in cloud cuckoo land demanding the billionaire Joy Sepalla make herself available for the leader of the council. who does Anne think she is? the Queen?

COMPARE

Ann Lucas was born in Coventry in July 1949 and has lived here all her life. She has been married for 43 years to Ray, has two children - Claire, a teacher at a local school, and Ray jnr, a salesman - and six grandchildren.

She joined the Labour party in 1978 and was the union rep at Whitley Council between 1967-72. She was the GMB (hotel and catering) shop steward between 1978 and 1988. She is Chair of the Bablake Ward Labour Party, and the vice-chair of Coventry North West Labour Party. She is also a member of the National Policy Forum, which gives grass root political input to shadow ministers at Westminster. She is a member of Labours National Executive Committee and is National Champion for domestic violence issues. She was a member of Coventry City Council for Bablake between 1995-99, and was re-elected in 2000 (in Holbrook).

Ann lists her interests as reading, politics, dancing, socialising, and eating out. She is a Coventry City Football Club fan, is a season ticket holder and has been going to Highfield Road (and now the Ricoh!) since 1962.

She has had a flying lesson, joined a white water rafting team to raise funds for cystic fibrosis and has done a parachutrejump to raise funds for Baby Lifeline.

Your posts are getting even more bizarre. Is this supposed to say someone is better than someone else?
Serving in public office is quite an achievement. What could be more honourable than that? Maybe helping the sick and needy, teaching , designing something that helped improve people's lives or bringing about world peace. Making money is way below the aforementioned including Ann Lucas achievements.

The rantings of whoever are not really adding to any sensible debate.

Well if anyone can do it, then do it. The simple fact is that you're making a claim to have been involved in countless cases against the council, but can't offer any evidence for a single one.

The most obvious reason for this isn't to protect your identity, it's because you're lying. In fact if you google "Judicial Review and Coventry City Council -SISU", you can find most of the cases that don't relate to the football club. There aren't actually that many, because if you had any knowledge you'd know they are rather expensive processes.

And it's 'numbskull'. I hope your legal secretary proofreads your bundles prior to submission.

And you are True Sky Blue, aren't you. Why the new identity?

Anne Lucas's achievements? this council have wrecked our club thats one thing, but they have wrecked our city for the last 25 years!! take a look at the city you live in, not through your rose tinted glass but in the reality of life, the poor and sick being abused by a council that doesn't give a toss. I could go on about the council all night, if you do not believe me ask the citizens advice, ask shelter, ask many other groups and charities about how Coventry City Council treat people. go tot he salvation army and take a look at the homeless the council refuse to house. Anne Lucas is just as much to blame for everything that goes wrong at the local authority as everyone that works for it. Its a disgrace and so are those whom work for it

Duffer keep your efforts at legal knowledge to yourself, your embarrassing yourself. Most Judicial Reviews do not make it to the print with Bailie and the other numerous sites showing updated judgements (including my companies), most JRs are dealt with privately before a judgement, then you would know that - 80% of JR's are struck out at the first attempt. Duffer you have no idea who i am and im not going to let you know so stop trying.,

Lots of very decent people work for the Council actually - including some of my immediate family. Cov CC are the town's largest employer, as I recall.

For a fanatist twot like you to call them a disgrace is beyond the pale. Why don't you go away and come back again in a few months with a new username. You're pathetic.

I didn't realise Coventry was the only place in the world where homeless people congregate.

What are you on about the sick and poor for? Are you trying to say Joy Seppalla is Mother Teresa or something?

Oh and just when your slagging off my city and its economy, here's a story for you to read.

If you think it is such an easy life - stand for election.

All very well slating AL & the council, but I would hazard a guess they have a much wider responsibility, accountability & social empathy & have a much stronger social conscience than JS & her cronies whose sole purpose is to fleece anyone & everyone that they can in order to provide return on investment for their investors. THAT is all the AL & the council are trying to do - it's just that their investors are not generally faceless multi-millionaire types & corporations (as SISUs are likely to be), they are the citizens of Coventry...like families - even children & families like the one involved in the tragedy you choose to refer to.
The BIG difference is that those involved in THAT case probably grieved & lost sleep over the outcomes. When JS gets an outcome she actually desires...many peoples lives & livelihoods can be left ruined...JS & her cronies sleep smugly & rub their hands with glee as try count the cash!

I'll leave it after this, because I think if you feed the trolls too much they keep coming back.

However, the one thing you're right about is that most JRs fail. 85% fall when they are first assessed by a judge. Of those that fail and ask for reconsideration (in effect, appealing the original decision), 87% fail again.

http://www.official-documents.gov.uk/document/cm86/8611/8611.pdf

Why this would give you hope that SISU would succeed second time around is beyond me.

Frankly though, TSB/sfan, almost everything you say is beyond me. You're entitled to your opinion, hideously expressed as it is, but the need for pretence I can't understand.

To be fair if you want to gain ownership of what is a major asset purchase...you generally tend to either wait until it's put onto the market or approach the existing owners (as it seems some parties have already done - & held discussions)
The way I see it that's AL/CCC stance, & it hasn't changed.
This is just more SISU posturing, distracting, & dare I say testing the water to see if they can gain an idea of whether there is anything else in the melting pot for the Ricoh in 2014 that would lead to them HAVING to purchase land & build a new stadium...because really speaking there doesn't appear to have been very much happening in that direct so far except for their own stories & spin on the matter (though that does not mean nothing is happening behind the scenes somewhere)

Council refuse to house bit harsh, why don't you take one in if you feel so strong about it.

Or take them to Oxford where they round them up and then give them a one way ticket to another part of the country,

So the city can rehouse them all ? Go to any council in Britain and you will get the same things going on.for a so called well educated you really are stupid..

My wife works for CCC she a descent person OK she doesn't like football doesn't make her scum.

So luckily the council have a never ending amount of money to look after everyone but chose to keep it?

You need to come out of that cocoon and see the real world.

So Joy wants to meet Anne, and Anne wants to meet Joy. So which one is lying, as if it were true, the meeting have been undertaken a long time ago!

Only thing Cllr Lucas fails to say is 'the club hold it against me for boycotting the games wen we signed Marlon!'.

I'm not surprised to see a statement in response to a statement. I just wish Joy would visit the council house, the two of them be locked In a room, and not let out until the deal is done. Or until one finishes the other of in a cat fight. At least they can say 'we tried'.

Interesting point that she sets the new year deadline. If, let's say Otium came forward in March next year prepared for serious talks (unlikely, I know), are the council going to say 'you had your chance?'

Yes if ccc are willing to sell then they can't wait forever sell it to the highest bidder if that is sisu so be it, if it isn't then let them build their new ground in Rugby or wherever it maybe.
It is obviously worth something as there are other interested parties.

I trust this is also sent to the Football League. Are they not supposed to be monitoring the situation.

Let's raise a Parliamentary partition and get 100,000 signatures. This will hurt SISU.
