Been following this buyout possibility with interest. In the last few months we have had Simon Jordan apparently ask a price to be given according to him a Lala land price. Now we have Gary Hoffman back on the scene with an apparent group of local business men with an apparent £500k cash basic offer plus add ons, which to me looks like a similar Lala land offer, but I wouldn't expect anything else with an initial bid, interesting though as yet it doesn't seem to have been refused and the door slammed shut with a "the club is not for sale" statement like we have seen in the past. With this in mind have sisu put the club in the shop window ? or has this Hoffman group unearthed a willingness that Sepalla will at last listen ? There seems to be some big hitters around at the moment looking to buy their way into football clubs and in the past Hoffman has been linked with super a rich Chinese company, Wanda and the American Preston Haskell. Gary Hoffman has admitted to fronting a bid for the club he has had to really despite asking for confidentiality it's been leaked, why and by who ? Who has more to gain the buyer or seller ?
Going to be interesting following this as I think Sepalla now wants out so I think putting this bid in the public arena helps her more.

The way to drive a better deal is to get more people to bid, its obvious that the club has leaked the financials as their the ones to gain most. If it sparks an auction you've got a better chance of Sisu going as they will get more money.

I don't think they did disclose it to get a bidding war. I'd say it was more to discredit hoffman by showing the details.

Would they have shown it if Hoffman had offered a decent offer?

Is the club for sale ? Fisher always says it isn't . It's clear to me Sisu don't want the club for football purposes . so , for whatever purpose they want the club , they won't sell . case closed isn't it ??

They wasted their invested and lost a lot, now they want the club self sufficient so they can sit on it till maybe one day it starts to make money at which point they may get some of the losses back.
Shit as it is i think we are stuck with them.

In simple terms I buy a house with a garage for £100k. I then knock the house down , leaving the garage intact and put the whole thing up for sale for £100k. A bit unrealistic really.

It's more like having a house that's worth £100 and somebody wanting to buy it with the contents where you have a TV that's worth £500 and a kitchen that's worth £500.

For example people were going to be angry at Stevenson potentially going for £1.5m.

I think 5 to 10 mill up front plus some addons if we ever get to the premier league would make them go. The initial offer needs to at least be the value of the playing squad plus Ryton doesn't it?

The Second bid is more than fair.

Don't forget the fact city breaks even is misleading. This is because it is not sufficiently resourced to compete. Once this is corrected the business will revert to losing money again.

It's nowhere near enough. Even sisu themselves bought the club back in 2013 for £1.5 million and that's with historic debt

To suggest a reasonable price with no debt is £1.2 million makes no sense really. The Ryton asset, Stevenson, Willis, Haynes, Lameries are worth at least £3.5 million alone.
