I'd take thatDoug King stand!
You’re proper on one this week.Unless it’s to sell the club I don’t see the point here. Costs loads to maintain and makes no money, that’s why it’s been a hot potato from day one.
There is that. At least we don’t need to worry about the rent agreement expiring in the worst case scenarioI imagine he'll hold out until the end of the 5 year plan (I think this is the 3rd year), as he'll stand to make a lot more if we go up.
I knew this was public posturing but never thought we were seriously in a position to buy the stadium! And so dies the 40,000 butts park arena
It'll be TUPE law protected so the general staff can transfer over to the new owners on the same wages and termsI guess it just means the staff will now transfer over? Don't know how it worked before if they worked for frasers.
Not with the Big Cyrille stand!George & John stand, Jimmy Hill Stand, Mark Robins Stand ... and leave room for Frank
I’m convinced the moves to sell the club began when that woman from PSG came in. This was the final piece of the puzzle.
Doug will net close to 100m if not over with this transaction
Buzzing. I’d love to know the details in the purchase though. Just thinking out loud
Is the stadium ownership under Doug or the football club or both?
How much did we pay?
How does he plan to service the debt of paying
Is his next step is to sell
What about maintenance? Didn’t we see the CBS costs about millions a year to keep maintained?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m buzzing but I’d love to know but maybe we’ll never know this.
One of the stands would have to be the Tommy Hutchison Stand.George & John stand, Jimmy Hill Stand, Mark Robins Stand ... and leave room for Frank
Biggest signing of the window!!
In fairness, these are only ‘poor club’ problems you’ll see at the bottom of the championship, L1 and L2… which we all got to experience!Whole I don't disagree with this, it's still a far preferable position to wondering where we goi g to be playing every few years and having the spector of playing outside the city looming over us again.
Nor everyone will agree, but if the cost of the maintenance and plugging financial gaps is decreasing the playing budget or selling a player I'll take it any day of the week to have our own ground.
It says in the statement. CovCityCo have bought the stadium which is the same vehicle that owns the club, of which Doug King is the sole share holder so far as we know.Buzzing. I’d love to know the details in the purchase though. Just thinking out loud
