Yup. In fantasy land, Whitley and Ansty are far more viable than Allard Way in terms of transport links and lack of bottlenecks, although Allard Way etc. is at least in town.

I remain convinced that with a progressive, visionary owner, there's a partnership to be had with Warwick University, where both parties get benefits. All we need is that progressive, visionary owner...

Why even the discussion anyway, SISU have neither the intention or resources to build a stadium, it's just more fucking flannel and stalling for time. If they get chucked out we will end up in Nuneaton and SISU won't give a shit as long as the set up doesn't cost them a penny, so everyone can look forward to Non league football within about 4 years I'd guess.........oh and JR3, 4, 5, 6

95% probable groundshare (not Nuneaton), no stadium unless some 3rd party comes from left field with the money & a plan.

Exactly but one alternative, seemingly favoured by some, is non-league football next season......and etc,

Transltion:

“Sod off mate. They aren’t going to build a stadium, especially on a golf course you absolute lemon”

There’s plenty to slate Duggins for, dismissive emails to randoms with bad ideas ain’t it.

Still waiting for a proper requirements and I’ll redo my search if people want to get a proper list of potential sites. I suspect there’s not many places in the city boundary that are suitable and not earmarked for housing though.

I’m with NW I think Warwick Uni is a great shout, or somewhere in another councils jurisdiction

I too sent an e mail to Cllr Duggins and to his credit, he replied within a few hours, early this morning. Further to his credit, he did reply with quite a lengthy e mail, which I feel would be unfair to post here. Cllr Duggins did state that he would be making a statement to council today, so I’m not sure if that will be made public.

Warwick Uni fuckin hell the roads around there are already gridlocked and with 2500 extra houses on Kings hill it will be a nightmare.

If we are still discussing the new stadium which will never be built. It has to be at M6 J3 (THE RICOH) or M6 J2 Walsgrave.
Anywhere else would cause major traffic disruption,or major road investment.
It ain’t gona happen.

Then so be it, I will go support the team still, as long as the club survive.

The ball is firmly in CCC/Wasps/SISU's court's respectively.

Can’t see it ever happening, I think Wasps will be gone in the next 2 years if SISU hold out, it’s just not sustainable for Wasps to solely operate.
But if there was to be a new stadium what about the Alvis Retail Park or the old Carbodies factory over the road, does not need to be a massive site, I watched the Millwall game on Sunday and was there the other year when we won 4-0, similar sized club to us and a cheap stadium to build would suit us at 20000 capacity with room to expand.

Dear WASPS
it is understood that you use the RICOH pitch on occasions now thay you have not qualified for the European club competion next year! it would be most kind of you to let CCFC fill the empty void in the Stadium as i am sure they can bring the customers in on the day, otherwise it must be difficult for you to justify the F&B contract.

Kindest Regards a long term City Supporter.

Why all the negativity around the stadium capacity? 10k? 15k? Even 20k? Sod that! We're heading back to the top, back to the Premier League! If we're going to be playing the likes of Liverpool, Man Utd., Arsenal etc, then we're gonna need a BIG seater stadium! 35k - 50k minimum! Have faith in MR!

they have qualified for a European competition, just not the top one, they will now play some "amazing" Romanian and Russian sides on Thursday nights like my 2nd love Northampton saints.

There is a major new road going from the A46 to Stonebridge at the same time as HS2 being built. The land by Tile Hill would be ideal.

As stated. 2/3 year deal at the Ricoh should see wasps off. Just be patient.
(That’s if the fookers let us play there!)

That's due to cut through some of the farmland that Warwick Uni own (Cryfield Grange farm, etc). So somewhere to the north of that (i.e. towards the campus) would be very good for many parties. Could we encourage them to build an HS2 station there? It's in Warwick District too, so Duggins wouldn't be able to piss on SISU's chips!
Course if it was owned by Warwick Uni, the eye-watering F&B prices at the Ricoh would seem cheap by comparison.
And they'd have to call it the Bhattacharyya Memorial Stadium!!

If the council workers job is anthing like mine, they would have to fill out a time record each week detailing what tasks they spent their time on.
And I'm guessing no-one has a category on their time record entitled 'Help CCFC find a stadium site'.
In any case, Coventry already has a football stadium and there is no way CCFC can afford to build another one.

We had a system like that where I used to work; it was so time consuming we ended up with a code for filling out the weekly time sheets.

That's so 2000, retractable pitches are where it's at these days. You could roll it out of the stadium to reveal a huge picture of Oggy's beaming smile.
