Simon Gilbert will be uploading a report after the meeting has finished, I have asked him if there is going to be a live update but I doubt there will be.

Edit: I did think as much

Simon Gilbert‏@TheSimonGilbert@RoboCCFC90 live updates not allowed in the spirit of encouraging open exchanges between attendees. But will be reporting after.

Indeed. So if ACL are doing "fine" or breaking even... and they & CCC will not sell... what is the plan because Sisu must be hemorrhaging £ at the moment... I guess a stadium is the only option that gives any plausible long term value to their "asset".

Will we find out in 6 weeks time that Torchy has attended every Forum meeting and takes the minutes?

--- the people I feel most sorry for are those living near these mythical Sisu sites (i.e. collateral damage), especially if you are trying to sell a house... bet they especially love Sisu!

And even if they did, football stadiums don't get built on greenbelt land.

Presumably you felt the same about residents near the Ricoh?

Yes their house values went up once the contaminated gas works was removed and the area was developed.
What a stupid, perhaps bias, thing to say.

Almost imagine the conversation now………..Have you got any sites that have been rejected for housing? Maybe we could help, tell the locals we're building a football stadium see how they like that, they'll be crying out for houses then! Are you going to build a new stadium then? Well, we certainly don't filibuster ha ha ha ha!!

Barratts use it as a selling point for their new development at Longford, if it wasn't a selling point they wouldn't mention it would they? When you're in marketing you use the things that add value not devalue.

Icon is located within walking distance of Arena Park Shopping Centre boasting an excellent array of shops such as Tesco Extra, Boots, Marks & Spencer, Next, Starbucks and much more. Also with walking distance is the Ricoh Arena, home to a world class casino and concert hall, leisure club, shops, bars, restaurants and a De Vere hotel. With all this and more on your doorstep, you'll be spoilt for choice!

I agree Torchy, what a particularly heinous thing of GPE to say! how dare you highlight the residents misfortune at being linked with having a bloody awful stadium next to them with out considering the completely random, unrelated feelings of the poor folk near the Ricoh Arena, or every stadium that was ever built for that matter. Their suffering will never be forgotten Torchy.

Of course the problem with proving this is that house prices far from the Arena have gone up over this period, so some spoil sports may argue that the lack of an Arena leads to increased prices. Good luck with it though.

Whilst it's good to exchange light hearted banter such as this!! the reality is that Mr G does come out with some good stuff, obviously like Mr Linnell he can be a cheeky monkey at times, but this site would be a lot poorer without him posting.

That's interesting. Are you saying house prices haven't increased anywhere in the country except for an area near the Ricoh arena?

Sorry? That's not the argument - Italia said the prices increased because of the Ricoh. So where is the evidence?

All real estate has risen in price but you seem to think that only the Ricoh hasn't or is now worth less so where is your proof?
