I wonder how the marketing dept at CCFC are going to persuade the masses to to purchase a ST.

Last year we had the optimism of the Mowbray effect to boost sales.

Tough job that one!

I think we will sell 4500-5000 as last year. May, June and July seem to eradicate peoples memory of sitting in a freezing cold, quiet, half empty stadium with useless non supportive using owners, watching loanees largely going through the motions...........

It will be more of a ultimatum this year, we need ST's to break even, club depends on it blah blah blah (but we'll sell a player and cover all losses anyway).

Surely it is common sense the club depends on it rather than an ultimatum?

They cover any real losses then create a big wedge of fictitious paper losses by imposing phenomenal admin charges............

All company's depend on their accountant to give accurate figures of what makes break even too...

SISU can't even get that right.

I can't imagine that we've got thousands of season ticket holders who go thinking its going to be a hugely entertaining and successful way to spend Saturdays! On that basis would expect the vast majority to renew.

They daren't do any marketing as it gets criticism, usually by the same muffins who are saying how refreshing and innovative Wasps' marketing efforts are.

What I'd do is:

"Joy needs a yacht, buy a season ticket"

I doubt many could see the joke.

Why insinuate that anyone that lays blame at SISU's door, is obviously an ignorant chav.

It depends how they do it I guess. It doesn't help that half the time it is over exaggerated scare mongering.

I would say it's impossible to over egg the damage they've done to our club.

Just look at the players that SISU have brought in since relegation withthe exception of a few players (clarke, McGoldrick) its been very poor, lack of real planning they set the budget and the policy appoint the managers and have failed miserably but thou shalt not criticise on here because SISU are victims.

This club will never go forward whilst they are our owners, the sucess of the team is not their main priority and it shows.

Why wouldn't you renew!! TM always said it was a two year plan, and however you choose to look at it, we've had our best season for a long time...disappointing end but nontheless a foundation for a genuine push next season, which none of us expected this season...

Even with the customary slump, being safe from relegation for this entire season feels a bit strange.

And would you agree that there's a group on here, that defend SISU at every turn and whilst
doing so, are very Hi-Brow and tend to look down on the rest of us.

They're bunch of cunts for a while host of reasons. But I doubt they're ripping the club off, they're just a bit shit at running a club.

I'd say at least 65 - 70% of the time most of the claims are exaggerated and factually incorrect aren't they?

That applies to any side of any Internet argument. Some of the CCC conspiracy theories are equally hilarious.

This is it for me too. Fuck them forever for Sixfields, but I'm not on board with the various conspiracy theories of them wanting to stay in the third division and whatever else. It paints them as being calculating and smart whereas we've seen almost a decade of bungling idiocy, animal metaphors and bizarrely orange men.

What foundation? 19 players out of contract or returning to their loan clubs. And what exactly is a 'genuine push'? I guess this season's push was not 'genuine' then.

I couldn't give a toss if it's because they are callous and calculating or just plain useless,
all I give a toss about is CCFC and they are slowly squeezing the life out of it.

A young first choice goalie who now has a seasons experience under his belt. Aaron Martin, chris stokes and Jordan willis as defenders with ability and experience at this level. Jodi jones a promising young lad with pace to burn. Andy rose who has had time to settle in and will hopefully improve and give us more of a physical presence. Vincelot will hopefully return to his early season form. The bulgarian having been brought in early and with a whole pre season will hit the ground running come start of the season. Not forgetting cian harries having lots of potential and a 4 year contract to boot. Ben Stevenson hopefully over his injuries will force his way into tms plans. Sayoud from reports looks to be a potential find. George thomas will hopefully kick on from his form for the under 21s. Premier league managers happy to let us have their best youngsters. A scouting network in place. Identity at the training ground.

Sorry if I've missed anyone or anything. Not bad foundations tho if you ask me.

I agree that there are too many conspairacy theories around and they are clearly not ripping the club off even though I would challenge some of their reported losses but whilst we hover around in league 1 we will become a club of that stature, from the club shop to the ticket office it has shambles written all over it and whilst we are declining there are some annoying gits in black and gold who seem to be so much better at doing the basics. Unfortunately SISU are responsible for nearly all of the important things that affect us.

I don't think there's anyone here who differs from you in that (nobody genuine at least). Nobody actively supports the owners, there's just a sliding scale of how much shit people think they're up to.

Yes with that foundation we might get a higher league position than Scunthorpe. Next season will be our 5th season in the third tier forgive me if I don't get too excited that we will be able to compete with Walsall.

We might also win the league. We might finish bottom on zero points. No one knows. Point is there is more of a foundation than there has been for years. Let's just see how it goes before writing the season off.
