Making my first trip to St Andrews tomorrow and it is a ground I have never been to before.

I have about two hours pre-match and an hour post match - if anyone can give me four or five best pubs to quench my thirst at it would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

Take a wander through Digbeth and try a few out. The bull is my personal favourite but theres plenty of choice then get into the roost by the ground for a couple prior to lick off

The Roost - the Blues fans official boozer.

3 minutes from the ground.

Cracking lively and loud footy pub (gets very busy though)

Roost is good if you like cheap beer, a sing song and a 2 minute walk to the ground.

I go on the Christ the king coach. I have a few scoops in my local then pick my daughter up and have a scoop or two and a batch at the CTK club. 1.30 on the coach which drops you off at the Bordlsey Labour club. A few more scoops and leave at 2.45 and off to the ground. The club is fairly quiet but means you can get served and they do batches from time to time if your hungry.
Coach leaves at 5.30 ish so no big rush to get home. Then off to my local for a post match review and a curry about 9

The lick off sounds like something you’d have got down Paynes Lane after a HR night game

Do they know what you're on about when you ask for a batch though?
