This Year there have been thousands upon thousands of posts regarding SISU/ACL/CCFC/CCC. Is there one single supporter who has had their view changed by any argument put forward?

Not as far as I can see.

Wouldn't it be lovely if Cov fans could stop regurgitating the same sh*t all day every day? We all know the facts. It doesn't matter how often people put their interpretation on them forward the debate never changes.

If fans can't move forward - why the hell do they expect the actual participants to?

When fans STOP moaning, is when it will be the "Death Knell" for CCFC. Surely it shows that people care. Don't put peoples feeling down, whether for or against the present regime.

I'm not talking about feelings or moaning. I'm talking about every topic ending up being 150 posts from the same people saying exactly the same thing they have said over and over again for twelve months.

Dave, the club is on its knees. We could be close to going out of business. Anything is possible in our current predicament.
Asking fans to suspend hostilities now is asking far too much.
What would you have us do? Forget the situation and discuss whether Chris Dagnall is better than Callum Wilson. The pies at Sixfields? Lone striker or two up front?
These issues just pale when you think where we are.
Sky Blue Kid has it right. We need to moan more and more.
Granted there are regular - hourly it seems - posters on here who just argue for the sake of it. Abuse people for fun. I say just ignore them completely. Then the tone of the place might change.
Sympathise with your intentions, but we can't just brush things under the carpet. Ignore certain posters and that'll help.

As long as there are two opposing views then there will always be the same arguments, the only way to resolve that is to be back in Cov. There will still be the SISU out arguments but at least people will talk about football not about missing football.

Whether you go or not one thing is for sure and im sure everyone agrees, this situation is shit. That's changes then the topic changes.

SISU & ACL over to you......

There is no truce needed, all that is needed are fair offers by SISU. One for leasehold or one for freehold, both based on current market price. end of.

I hate SISU but if they played fair I would accept it, both as a Coventry council tax payer (we actually own the Ricoh) and as a fan.

I agree, as much as I despise them for what they have done, its now time to stop the squabbling and get this mess sorted.

If it meant they get the Ricoh and sell it on as a package then that's fine. Just as long as they stop using "the club" as leverage. Enough is enough.

In response to the OP, I would say my views have been changed somewhat, not by the few who try and tell me SISU are a good thing, but by the situation as a whole. I am getting very tired of arguing and playing the blame game as it does no good. So my views on SISU owning the Ricoh have softened if only because it may bring a speedier resolution to this mess.

Labovitch already stated on skynews (see thread for video) that the club would be prepared to have 2 independent valuations as a starting point for discussions, but ACL simply isn't interested...

What I would like to see for the new year is just some sensible discussions from the council and the club - a line drawn in the sand for the sake of the residents/supporters of ccfc. If the council will not sell the freehold, then at the very least they should offer to sell land / grant planning permission within the city boundaries so that any potential jobs, revenue etc remains within the city. This also has the added benefit of forcing Sisu to show their hand if they are bluffing with the new stadium and also remove any possible reason for Sisu to continue looking outside of the city boundaries...

Will it happen, no... both sides are just too damn stubborn

When Nelson Mandela came out of prison, after everything that he had to put up with, his first words were to let bygones be bygones and move forward from here.

He'd have had to put up with a lot of crap if he had been on SBT with that attitude!

a) Say, great idea let's do it - or
b) Say, if you want to buy, make us an offer?

The council will not sell to someone that keeps saying they want to buy but never put in an offer.

Can you explain how you think CCC could accept an offer or even negotiate without a starting bid and also what SISUE have done to gain trust from the council? SISUE even walked away from Higg's negotiations and now owed an agreed 29k to them for expenses towards the negotiations.
