Very strange that Doug is in it

I'm sure if you were to look through the other 91 clubs in the top 4 tiers you won't find their owner in a squad picture

Doesn't exactly quell the views that he's too involved in the playing side of things does it

Why is it a negative ?

He’s not picking the team, he’s having his photo taken.

Why are some fans desperate to press the self destruct button when the club are clearly progressing in the right direction for the first time in literally decades.

King is too involved, Robins can’t cope with bigger budgets, Adi was the real brains behind the partnership, Overson can’t attend training anymore and that’s not fair, we have too many backroom staff …… its just fkng endless ….

We moaned when we had an owner who didn't give a shit and was never around the club, now we're moaning we've got an owner that is around the club all the time and involved day to day

Lets be honest, if we're at a point where we've got threads on who should or shouldn't be in a photo then we're really scraping the barrel of things to moan about.

This is definitely not up there with the Dulieu debacle.

I can’t be bothered to google other clubs but its clearly not unique is it.

Unusual, yeah maybe it is, but not unique.
Grendel says 'It shows egotism more than anything else', which may be true, but couldn't it also show pride ?
Maybe he was asked to be in the photo by the appreciative staff or players, because of the time, effort and money that he's invested in the team and infrastructure ? Who knows, certainly not us.
I'm definitely not going to lose any sleep over this matter, it's a storm in a teacup.

Well given Dave Whelan turned Wigan from a fourth division team to a top flight team, and rebuilt their stadium and set the foundations for an FA cup win, I think it's probably more than deserved.
