I like where i sit and Its my ST and where other Family & Friends sit. My point was Championship football at every ground is far to expensive. Clubs are taking the piss and it needs the EFL to step in and price cap games like the Premier League do.

If you have 2 kids and follow city home & away then september is basically a £500 month for that when you add up tickets, travel and extras.

Yeah, September has been an expensive month. Not just the Spurs tickets but I've bought tickets to Watford and Leeds. Not to mention the petrol and parking and food for the away trips. Luckily for my wallet we will only be going to Preston in October.

So with that in mind , business wise the club have probably made the money they wanted , however the pricing wasn't right for supporters and we will have around 6000 empty seats on tv .

The Club, supporter wise, got it wrong

unless they are expecting 3,000 buy between now and kick off they are way off the mark here. Still at least 8k tickets left from the corner of the east stand round to the north

Have you counted all the dots individually or is that just a guess?

I suspect the club may have a slightly better idea of how many tickets they themselves have sold...

The whole of the north stand including corners hold approx 8000. Looks to be say a third of those sold.

The desperation for this game to be unsuccessful ticket wise, is embarrassing.

Yes they got the kids prices wrong. But live and learn. Encourage as many to go as possible. It all helps the club. You know, the one we support?

Not sure if its related but I get the impression there's something wrong with the ticketing infrastructure at the stadium, as in the physical part we use to get into the ground.

No etickets, no pay on the gate and I'm sure there was mention in one of the supporters meetings of it needing to be replaced because it was out of date.

You could go old school and print out a load of tickets for use on the gate but maybe they've ruled that out as they have concerns over people not paying the correct price.

Pete asked the new COO and the no cashless is a business decision from the club.

The no printed tickets is to do with the old infrastructure at the ground. They had major issues it seems with the ticket master printed tickets not working with the out of sate scanners the stadium has. They say it is being looked at but unofficially as it is likely only going to be really kixed by the stadium company installing new scanners which they make have to do at some stage before gig season.

Assuming we're staying with Ticketmaster it would be nice if when they update the infrastructure we can just tap in rather than having to scan tickets. A lot of music venues use that system with ticketmaster now and its a lot quicker.

tbf I think he's probably maximised revenue

If it was priced £25 adults, £15 kids and it sold out that would make significantly less money than it will with 26k @ £37.

Assuming 75% adult tickets and 25% junior you make £50k more with 26k @£37 and £25 than 30,700 at £25 and £15

Offset against missing 5k punters spending in the ground or even visiting the club shop.

Those missing because of kids prices won’t be 3:1 adults though, more likely the other way around.

I reckon it would be more likely to look like this, to achieve a sell out: -

Just reducing the U18 prices to £10 ST holders, and £15 non-ST holders. I don't think there was an issue with the adult prices. Assuming ticket sales are made up of 70% adult, 15% concessions, and 15% kids, then reducing the kids prices would achieve an extra 100k of revenue. Also assuming sales between ST and non-ST holders is 50% split.

If there was pay on the gate then you'd just have any Spurs fans who couldn't get a ticket in the home end

In hindsight we should have just gave them the whole end cause they'd have sold it out

Why are 3500 more adults going to buy tickets at the same price just because kids tickets are cheaper? To accompany the 750 U18s? lol

You could raise the total U18 tickets sold to 25%, and lower adult tickets total sold to 60%, and the total revenue would be over £850k - so still higher.
