Because there wasn't social media 54 years ago Victor Meldrew. People have more important things to do , feed their families pay huge fuel bills than paying for a football game live on the tv. It's only a game if you want to go fine and dt wish to go fine. I can't be bothered with this game I'd take a win over Swansea than this meaning cup game for me.

Do you think its right that season ticket holders who wanted to bring non season ticket holders got penalised to the tune of £7?

The club have limited opportunity to make extra income (a lot of attendees at matches are ST holders), and if we want to make new signings, be it January or next summer / or even retain players through better contracts, the money has to come from somewhere (and like it, or not, we as supporters have to bear some of that burden). Agree it's a sh*t if it is a squeeze on certain individuals/families, but for me it's my main (probably only) extraneous passion, so I'll suck it up (to a degree) Agree with others, if we get to the PL, I may think twice about a lot of away games, depending on pricing.

Yes away fans never pay more than 30. It's the home games you would be fleeced for

They're ST holders, why would they be begging for Wembley tickets? Besides, a significant number of those might not have realised that the £30 price didn't apply once their seat was released. A few have said that in this thread. This has all been done to death, but the idea that ST holders are somehow obligated to go to a one off game just because it's Spurs is odd. Many ST holders struggle to make midweek anyway, you'll see that when we play Blackburn in a few weeks. Some of the stuff on here has been a bit OTT. To complain about loyalty and commitment when we're getting our best attendances for 50 years is wild.

May be wrong, but I think PL games are capped at £20 or £30.

How are they being penalised if their ticket is £30 and their "guest" is £37? Surely their friend pays for their own ticket?

I don't think personally it's too much for a match ticket for this level of opposition. It's the most we charge for a cat A game anyway. Like I said, you'll get people who'd say, ahh if it was £35 I'd pay it but £37 is too much. Simply put, if you don't want to pay it, you don't really want to go at all.

The kids pricing could do with being looked at however, as I know I'm looking at this from an adult going on their own with out kids pov.

I couldn't buy a ticket for my grandson, (no purchasing history), until after the £30 deadline expired so had to pay £37 for mine. So yes, I was penalised for bringing someone else

Let's assume Clint has a ST in a full row.

They want to take a family member who can't normally attend.

Because Clint can't sit in their normal seat, Clint has to pay extra, despite being a loyal supporter.

That's one thing that needs addressing for future cup games.

I paid £7 for a pint of Poretti in an average Italian restaurant last night in Hinckley. Lunacy for me but if two tier Kier gets his way we should all be paying that just to protect ourselves from ourselves!
As someone else said, not too painful if you’re an £80k a year train driver but most find pricing for all forms of entertainment in the UK ridiculous!

I've read this post a number of times.

Train drivers, the prime minister and fake Italian lager are complicit in Spurs tickets being overpriced.

Is this correct?

Would there have been no way to purchase your ST seat ticket prior to deadline, then purchase a second ticket after deadline at ticket office, and ask them to move your purchased seat to where 2 seats in a row are available? I doubt they would say no and refuse to help.

Yeah I'm not taking any lectures from people about not going. I've had a season ticket for years and do plenty of away, I'm just not that interested in early round league cup. £37 once my seat was released and it's midweek on sky. 20 quid I'd have gone up, but I buy a season ticket to avoid paying those hefty prices for home games so why am I subject to it in what is effectively a bonus game for the club. He can charge what he likes his club, doesn't mean I have to pay it

Ah I see, sorry misunderstood the question. I thought Clint meant in general buying 2 tickets.

Were the tickets not £30 for the member rather than the seat itself? I was under the impression it was the same price wherever you bought a ticket as long as it was assigned to your ST? I bought my own seat, so I genuinely don't know.

Ah I see what you mean. I thought you meant just a straight purchase of 2x adult tickets. Assuming your grandson is under 18, then it's crazy for the purchase history, especially as they'd prefer U18s to be accompanied.

Sorry I think we're talking about two different things, I just meant £30/£37 for an adult going on their own isn't that bad a price and we should have sold more. Like I have said, when kids are involved, it muddys things.

I agree with the premise of people don't have to go if they don't want to pay, and the moaning is a bit over the top, but calling people self entitled is just insulting. People have had to deal with record levels of inflation, and stagnant wages, a lot are struggling to pay their bills. It's not just a case of missing out on some luxuries.

I meant the people who are moaning about paying £37 for a ticket who aren't ST holders/regular goers.

Tbf, I've since learnt that the £30 didn't apply to buying in other locations etc with friends.

On the ST holders struggling to make midweek, that's irrelevant. They've committed and paid for their ticket regardless. Unlike those that pick and choose when to attend.

Let me see your outrage at £37 for Norwich at home. A big team comes to town, and suddenly the world is up in arms despite it being cheaper than some league games this season. Do me a favour!

You all claim to be fans and want the best for the club, but also, you don't want to support the club, you just want piss cheap tickets. Engage the grey matter a little bit and you'll start to see some sense..
