Some good points but surely it's not just another night at the CBS.

The more this gets spun, the more it will put people off paying the money.

A day will come that we will play home games in the Premier League and Spurs at home will be a Cat A game.

Spurs at home will be one of about 10 cat A games , atleast

Not trying to spin anything and actively trying to encourage people to go, it never crossed my mind not to go, but I get why some people aren't.

Biggest mistake was not allowing season ticket holders to purchase at £30 regardless of when they bought a ticket. A few would have made a last minute decision to go, but penalising them for not committing earlier will put people off.

Not read everything but am delighted to be going.

Don’t understand the complaints about ticket prices. We used to pay similar to go to Sixfields and get beaten by Yeovil.

Love the expectation around the club recently but has turned into negativity needlessly.

Forget all that and PUSB.

The focus has been taken off the footballing side ofcthe fixture because the ticketing has been dealt with appallingly.
King gets, some things right, he gets some wrong.

But he's got this badly wrong. Sales seem to bear that out.

Don’t think he has. Looking at the ground map they have sold about 22,000 home tickets which say at an average of £30 a ticket is £660,000. At £25 a ticket at this stage they would have had to sell over 26,000 tickets which they may well have done and a £20 the can’t get an income of £660,000 out of the ground.
Football is just a business nowadays all they want is the most out of fans they think they can get. Why do you think we have 3rd kits every season? It a money making machine.
Doug will be looking at this rubbing his hands together. He only needs to sell another 2500 tickets at £25 an average ticket you can’t generate that money from the home fans. That’s what he will have gambled on.

I’ve got my ticket but I think the price is out of order . Is DK just cashing in where he can and believes we will not be going through ?
If I was DK I would have charged £25 and filled the stadium , after all we will be on the world stage and millions looking in , what’s not to like !!

Spurs are big football club regardless of a lack of success in recent years, not on the level of Man Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal (who for me are on their own level) but very big nonetheless

I’m not going to count them but looking at the availability on blocks 10,11,24-29 and 31-33 they are the only ones that haven’t sold at least 75% of capacity.. 13-22 have sold at least 95% capacity.
I don’t recall saying anywhere I was happy the ground will be 1/4 empty. I pointed out from a financial position why they will see in their view the made the right decision.

Which is more reason then why from Doug’s pov £30 a ticket is better than £25 as the club will receive approx £11:25 from each sale as opposed to £9:37.
I’m not saying I agree with his pricing but I understand he has looked a several pricing strategies and decided in his opinion this will generate more income than another price.

I sit next to the corporate/hospitality zone and I can tell you most people sat there arent taking clients. They're just regular fans with a bit of extra cash.

Funnily enough these are the blocks I identified that hadn’t sold 75% of tickets if you bothered to read what was there.

Yes but that's the majority of that stand. 3/4 blocks of "seats with a bar" and then the entire balcony.

Uptake on boxes wont be big either.

Wonder if we'll have an entire empty block near the half way line again due to other events?
