I'm (now) going both but if I could only choose 1,it would be Watford.
I'm far more interested in our league games than the Caraboa cup

Why? everyone always says league over cup

amount of away games the next few weeks fans will prioritise them especially as Watford tickets were out before Tottenham tickets were announced and released

It undeniably means more than this game and most of that will have been spent before Spurs ticket news even came out.

One-upmanship, clearly. It will always be a part of football and it was something that was missed during COVID.

'Limbs' comes under the same umbrella.

Football without it would be rugby or other boring sports being watched on telly.

Funny that you mention rugby , reminds me of Wasps TBF!

Didn't the tickets for Watford come out before we knew about the spurs tickets ?

Isn't the league more important?

Aren't the club going to be in receipt of tv money and prize money for the spurs fixture anyway ?

Whatever the score is at Watford you’ll probably barely remember the game after a year or two.

Beat spurs and it will live long in the memory.

"I have 1400 points which means I go to 90% of games throughout the season...

£30 for Tottenham, the first top Premier League side to play in Coventry since 2009. No way!

£35 for Watford and Bristol City, plus £30 for Leeds. No problem at all."

Ok grandad, we haven't played spurs for 11 years and haven't beaten them for almost 24. Silly take.

It's not 30 quid for me. I had to pay £37 because I had to wait to buy a ticket for a non ST holder.

Do you think that's the way to treat supporters?

Il ignore your terribly shit humour , and remind you that it was only a few months ago we played an FA Cup semi final at Wembley against an actual giant of world football

No fan is getting overly excited like you clearly are about Tottenham hotspur at the CBS arena for 37 quid ... clearly

The last time we beat a top 6 (they finished 5 last season) Premier League side at a home match in Coventry, the Twin Towers were still standing.

It would be a memorable day surely? In the same way Wolves last season was a more memorable day than 99% of league matches we play.

The original post was about fans going to Watford or Leeds not going to this.

It is pretty much impossible to go to Leeds or Watford without a season ticket. You wouldn't have the points. Season ticket prices for this were £30.

I am going with a non-ST holder but still managed to get mine before the deadline. I do, however, think it's ridiculous that they aren't still £30 now.

You're comparing the Carabao cup to an FA Cup quarter final.
They're chalk and cheese regardless of the opposition.

If we scored two stoppage time goals to beat spurs 3-2 next Wednesday it would be better than Wolves

This is such an odd contrarian take from you.

Wouldn't it? Like I said, it would be the first time we've beaten a top 6 PL side at home since 2001.

It's a shame people are knocking this fixture. It should be a great occasion because we have not played many big sides at the Ricoh.

There are 2000 people going to Watford. There are 27000 tickets for Spurs. The comparison applies to a small number.

As for 'first PL side...', it's a bit of a so what from me. We're not MK Dons who can go from one man and his dog to a full house because a PL outfit rock up. There are positives to be taken from that.

It's £38 for adults and £26 for kids. Some people genuinely can't afford it.

The fa cup quarter final victory v wolves would not be beaten by a 4th round carabao cup win v Spurs..I'm starting to think you're a bit simple

I don't particularly like the League Cup and always laugh when Birmingham and Stoke fans consider it a big trophy.

However, it is still a competitive fixture against a big side. I don't get how that isn't an exciting occasion? If we had played many big sides at the Ricoh/CBS fair enough, but we haven't. Not even in friendly matches.

Maybe not but at home vs away and Spurs are a better team. It would certainly be up there.

It just seems strange how much you're trying to downplay this game.

Yeah, that's definitely a flaw in the system. You should have contacted the club directly really. They'd have surely allowed it in such a scenario.

The focus has been taken off the footballing side ofcthe fixture because the ticketing has been dealt with appallingly.
King gets, some things right, he gets some wrong.

But he's got this badly wrong. Sales seem to bear that out.

Because we aren't a tiny little club and we've played spurs 91 times in the past , it's the 4th round of the league cup , it's a good draw but I'm not about to call it an all timer

I guess some of us are just not as impressed by 'big clubs' as the younger supporters. PL bores me senseless. I grew up watching us beat these sides, it's not a big deal. I'm going to the game btw, but half the people I go with are not. Not trying to be contrarian, but genuinely looking forward to Swansea more than Spurs.
