We have also paid good money for shit players. Would you be happier with us paying silly money for Eastwoods every pre season or getting Leon Clarke's on a free?

So what is your point about free transfers or is it just something to moan about?

Why is it only ever some fans demanding we spend money on players, ironically probably the same fans who refuse to give SISU a penny and moan when we are in debt etc.

Reality check.

Would not be gutted if he was announced as a signing tomorrow. He has proved he can do it in this league.

Wouldn't we just be happy with any signings at the moment. Some mild hope to cling on to.

Craig Westcarr went to Portsmouth for crying out loud. Where were we?

What is being apologised for?

More like realistic, but some don't seem to grasp while they brag about not giving the club money and demanding signings.

I get more excited about new characters on Game of Thrones than new players coming to CCFC

But Sisu have got loads of money. They told us so. They can handle being in Northampton on low crowds. They told us so.
So - where are the signings?
Players won't be excited about coming to our club, because 'our club' isn't ours anymore.
Basically they were saying what Gordon Strachan said years ago, 'We'll do it without the fans.'

yet #wearecoventry is the clubs way of showing a united front, where fans, owners and stakeholders alike are all pulling together for the one cause !

Pulling together? I agree that's a laugh. You only have to read any thread on this forum. Fans seems to take pleasure in slagging the team they support off at every opportunity. Things are shit, but I'll never do that. And yes, Game of Thrones is shit.

Maybe SP should get on the phone to his employer and tell her to get the club back to where it should be then, if he wants to see his transfer budget increase 5-fold.

Agree, but we're in Northampton. That's the way it is. Fans are boycotting as is their right to do, that's the way it is. That will inevitably mean our budget will be as low as Simon Harris' bass.

Nothing to do with Sisu's 'We'll cover it' in Northampton - stance then.
Our budget? Sisu's budget more like.
The blind acceptance of their lies.

So are you saying here that the low budget is the fans fault for not attending Sixfields ?

Typical response from the usual few so out of contract players are all good from the sounds of it.

All the players mentioned on this tread were offered contracts so yes they were good players.

The ones we are looking at are being let go by there parent clubs for not making the grade.

Come on lads there is a difference, you might get lucky and one becomes a good player but generally they are duds.

Stop making excuses for our owners they really don't give a fuck!!!!!!!

That doesn't have to be the way it is though Torch. If the owners are remotely bothered about the team's prospects they will put an end to this self enforced exile. Players come out and say they would be happy to sign a new contract and then either aren't made an offer or are made one far too late.

Not good enough.

Spend zillions of pounds we don't have and put ourselves even further in the financial mire, clearly.

Y'know, like we did in the Premier League, and didn't that all turn out peachy.

Is it June 30 yet? Please let there be some movement in this damn madness that is Sisu.
If no change after that - us supporters need to have a serious think about a way forward.
It can't go on like this.
Our current players are leaving the sinking ship. Our old players like Ian Wallace, Ronnie Farmer and Dietmar Bruck tell it like it is. A farce.
Never mind a petition to government - laudable as that is - we need a concerted effort with the Football League - joining all interested parties - ex players, managers, fans - to put pressure on them. Remind them there is no fairytale ground. That Sisu don't pay their bills, only under extreme pressure. Pointing out the chaos existing in their wake, charities running up bills because of Sisu etc etc etc. The League need to be made fully aware that a Football League Club without fans is not a real club. We need to be a bit more proactive in shaming the League. How about an Open Letter in the FOOTBALL LEAGUE paper?

A world where we think this is all about food and beverage income to receive 90% less gates 35 miles away. It's a crazy ole world.

We all wish for some positive news but it never comes.
Fears over the goalkeeping situation become that little bit more real. That Sisu had no real intention of keeping Murphy and would go with a kid.
The prospect of them delaying paying their bills until we get docked more points becomes a possibility.
Roll on the end of the month when the judge gives his verdict.
Like a few have said, the close season used to be a time of renewal, transfers, fresh hopes. There has never been a worst time to be a supporter of Coventry City.
I looked at the Premier League (The First Division still, to me) yesterday. We are potentially the equal or better than Hull, Swansea, Southampton, WBA, West Ham, Palace, Leicester, QPR, Burnley - run in an ambitiously sensible way. Sure it looks miles off, yet with decent owners, playing at the Ricoh, we could be back there.
Instead we have these idiots running our club, running it into the ground. Who have not one scrap of interest in the football side of it. Care not a jot for Coventry, the community. We are just some figures on a balance sheet.
Today, we are at the worst point in the entire history of our club. The scary thing is, it could get worse, far worse.
Go on Sisu, prove me wrong.

agree with that comment. you could see Fernandez at the play off final. the amount of money he stood to lose if they didn't win that game was crazy.

They gambled !
