Depends on what you've seen. I saw posts from a lot of the more moderate who said the policing was random and they let a lot of stuff go and took out bystanders. If I'd not spent the last 30 years watching similar stuff at football, I'd call them out for lying, but can well believe it with the met and some of the footage on X did look a bit heavy handed and ott. Were there racisst - absolutely and stirring the pot, but also lots who were with them for at least what they perceived as valid reasoning.

not what happened, the "protestors" started pushing and shoving the police

valid reason? shouting "stop the boats" even after we know the person was from Cardiff? Nah mate

Maybe, but all this isn't just down to Chinese or Russian bots. Or the BBC or whatever. Some of our right-wing politicians such as Farage, Tice, Anderson need to take some responsibility. There are hundreds of pockets of right-wingers who are more than up to cause trouble. They don't need anyone in St Petersberg to egg them on.

The same as the hundreds of pockets of left wingers who are more than up to cause trouble ?

So rob is wrong then, because what he says doesn't fit with what you want to believe.

Agree, double edged sword. However, the Government and Police have to act. We can't have gangs of right-wingers and hate groups roaming around the country setting things alight and not expect there to be consequences.

It depends how quickly it can be mobilised. It sounds a bit like the "after the fact" approach to 4am wake-up calls after intelligence-gathering, rather than "get in there and sort the buggers out".
The Tornado riot teams in the prison service are VERY effective but slow to react: The "mutiny" at HMP Long Lartin in 2019 took about 10 minutes to take down but 36 hours to plan/execute.

I think they miss a trick here, people are what's needed to stop, not let it happen, then go after them !!

The issue with "stopping it happen" rather than going after the people later is the police forces of this country just don't have numbers now.

Cleveland Police in Hartlepool were overwhelmed by a not massive number of people.

I mean you could have said "gangs roaming around the country setting things alight and not expect there to be consequences", surely?

Unless of course you only want it to be used when it's particular people kicking off and not everybody?

Use it on everybody and anybody kicking off and rioting, not just angry white cunts, used it against angry cunts in general.

Not sure what the issue is, Nick. Who were kicking off in Westminster last night? Hartlepool and Southport?

I'm just saying surely you would want it to be used on any gangs kicking off regardless of their political views, colour or religion?

Course you don't, have doubled down on your very strange take.

I think only a crown court judge can lift the reporting ban so the case would have to be committed to crown court first. You wouldn't be surprised if they decide not to lift the ban given the potential for harm to the family.

Weren't you moaning about police brutality on another thread?

It's just as I said, it happens to somebody who is muslim and also a c**t and some people are outraged but it's fair game if it's somebody who is white with a st georges flag who is also a c**t.

Finding it strange that the people who are shouting about tarring with brushes and discrimination the most seem to be all over it when it comes to somebody who is on the right.

So sad for the victims and the families
Makes me feel so blessed to have spent my life in a relatively law abiding democracy where the rule of law still functions
But for how long?

Blimey. YOU accusing others of having a strange take! Marvellous. Maybe I should have had a check list of different groups/races/religions to keep you happy. After all, you run a tight ship here, don't you? Nothing untoward allowed...

You didn't answer the question about who had been kicking off this week setting alight to stuff.

With a government film unit so they can upload it to Twitter. That should really be edited so it includes lots of different groups, eh Nick?

I am just pointing out it's strange how you are adding conditions about who it should be used against. Like I said, you could have just said used against people kicking off, if somebody said "use that against Muslims or lefties only" then you would have pissed your pants.

"yeah but who's kicked off this week and is white"?

I'm saying it should be used on anybody and everybody kicking off regardless.

It's just like I said in the Manchester thread when people were crying about police brutality, if it was Tommy Robinson punching a copper and getting a boot to the face, the same people would be creaming themselves over it. This thread proves it.

It isn't me with the issue of only certain people getting their faces smashed in based on their colour or religion. I'm happy for it to happen to anybody being a prick, regardless.

It isn't strange. Right-wingers kicked off this week setting fire to stuff, breaking the limbs of policemen, biting dogs. Not Muslims or "lefties" or whatever, so I was talking about them. IT should be used against everyone and if a load of Scottish people kicked off next week in Troon then I would say the same thing. Christ.

What, the Roma' s kicking off and setting buses alight, police running away because of lack of resources and probably told to stand down, then the Pakistani Muslims at the airport fighting police officers and breaking there bones, then marching down to the police station mob handed where police released them to calm the situation. That's what I'm about!

Of course you would:

Leeds Riots

All kicking off, people setting buses on fire, smashing up police cars etc. Videos online of reported "migrants" chasing police. Why not treat them like they would football fans?

Your posts must be hidden?

Yeah, it is strange how you want to double down on it just being "right wingers". Same as how you said you wouldn't speak to somebody based on who they voted for.

Then you want to add conditions like "yeah but who kicked off this week", completely forgetting other riots within the past couple of weeks.

It's not that hard to say if somebody wants to fuck about, they should find out. You don't seem to be able to bring yourself to say it though. You are equally wrapped up in hatred and discrimination if it differs from your political views.
