The police have issued a statement saying they believe the EDL were involved.
Obviously 'believe' doesn't mean they think they definitely were.

Either way what happened last night fits their MO, hijack a cause as an excuse for violence and attack a mosque. Whoever they were last night they were scumbags taking a dump on the victims of an awful crime. They’re an embarrassment.
