I have found it incredibly sad.

If the guy was born in the UK, he's British.

As someone has already said, how far back should we go with this? His parents were British, but his grandparents were immigrants, so there lies the problem?

Very disappointed in reading some of the posts on here on this thread.

Hopefully not too far back. I'm a sixteenth Irish and I don't want to have join D O'D shouting up the Ra!

"Muslims believe in mob rule, Muslims play the victim card, Muslims stir up a lot of issues"

"if a dog is born in a stable..."

Absolutely fine, crack on.

"some people on here clearly don't like brown people"

That's bang out of order, how disgusting, you can't say that.

I think this needs closing now. It's way off topic and nobody seems capable of being respectful. Cheap Internet points all round.

Can't everyone now just agree the blokes a c**t and get on the Everton thread instead? I assume we're all going tonight.

White, black, brown, yellow or mixed, we're all Cov on here .... and in line with the arguments I was born, in Cov and so were my parents, so stop picking on me being from Warwick & Leamington!

No, I asked where it had been said about skin colour and that all immigrants are dangerous that you were referring to?

If they aren't being said I just wondered why you had brought that up?

This is part of the issue, there are 2 sides which will seemingly make shit up. One is putting stuff out about somebody being fresh off a boat and the other is saying "but you said no more brown people" when it wasn't said.

Where's the middle?

The crossbow murders was also excluded from the discussion as it was deemed a ‘domestic’ issue.’

If it had been the ‘wrong’ person it would have been used as evidence about attitudes towards women.

I'd also label that as a kind of terrorism, he targeted women and clearly had issues towards them.

Its how they are brought up by their parents and families. If they are brought up at home to be Ghanain they will see themselves as Ghanain. If they are brought up as British, then they will see themselves as British.

This is kind of what I'm trying to get at.

There will be children of immigrants in this country from a particular country that will have fully integrated into life here but then you could have another family from the same country who absolutely refuse to.

A bit like Expats who live in their own communities, refuse to learn "the lingo" and only socialise in "authentic" English pubs?

You are barking up the wrong tree trying that line because I have said across multiple threads that is also an issue . I am pretty sure people wouldn't be saying their kids Shane and Dave who can't speak a word of Spanish and only socialise with English people were Spanish either.

I asked PVA to show me what he was referencing in terms of who has said anything about "brown" people or "all immigrants". It isn't picking a fight.

I've been talking to somebody else about something they have pointed out and it's been sorted, easy as that.

GIMOC repeatedly tarred all Muslims with the same brush. It's blatant racism.

The other poster said even though this guy was born in the UK immigration is still to blame as his parents weren't born here.

I don't know why you have more issue with me and others pointing that out, than you do with the posts in question.

This is my point about the 2 different sides, you are adding things like that in to try and stir it up a little more when skin colour wasn't mentioned and just going off about something that wasn't said.

You do realise there are hundreds of thousands of non brown Muslims in the UK?

A lot of circular arguments on here and I'm appalled by some of it and tbh from posters I didn't necessarily expect it from, but anyhow that's where we are.

What I also dont like is why people have a problem with ex-pats abroad gathering in a community. I freely admit I have no culture and I love a holiday in the sun with plenty of food and drink and yes often gravitate towards tourist hotspots full of other Brits. Feels massively snobby to look down on those people and places and to lump them all together is if anything the reverse of the valid points people are trying to make about all of certain communities not being the same. Most ex-pats are generally out there spending money they've earned in the UK and not draining any resources, so if they want to retire to a bit of sea and sun and havent mastered the language, then I dont have an issue with it, yet it's so often used as a whataboutery counter argument.

Again, after years of this it's pretty easy to tell how people operate on sites like this.

You will have people who aren't the brightest and just repeat things (no excuse) but then you also have the manipulative ones. I have been on the receiving end of somebody saying they would stamp on my head but on the other hand there's a couple of little cliques where you have people who haven't got the bollocks to say something like that and they just lie, manipulate and try and stir things up. It's fucking weird.

There's much more respect for somebody who says I'm a prick and they will stamp on my head than the really sly people who will just try and manipulate. It was the same with the whole CCC / SISU stuff, I'd get DM's randomly trying to put things into my head to get me to say stuff because the people didn't want to say it themselves.

It's why I always think people like LetsAllSing Together and bhsb were good blokes, I disagree with them about pretty much everything in life but they have no issues just telling you straight and then back onto another thread talking about the match.

Each to their own I guess, but we loved Norway when we were there last week and all said we would love to live there.

Last thing on my mind in that circumstance would be to look for an English pub or English enclave.

I get why people do it, but personally, I find it a little embarrassing.
