Don't know what's happening with the world. Seems it's an every day occurrence now. Awful.

Probably a good time to remind ourselves about jumping to conclusions after the last few threads.

Everyone will hopefully agree that whoever is responsible needs hanging, and if it's found that a systemic issue that action needs taking.

Exactly, on that first bit. Let's not jump to any conclusions and wait for more information to come out.

Remember the Australian incident.

Let's see what unfolds first.

Tragic. They're just kids for goodness sake. There is far too much evil in this world.

Well that's what you want to read before your kid goes for the first time to nursery...

The soldier stabbed multiple times last week, those 2 poor innocent married women stabbed on the beach in Bournemouth in May with one of them being killed, its just getting all too regular

It was only a few weeks ago we had that mother and two daughters murdered with a crossbow as well. I'm only 21 and I'm honestly not confident I could bring kids up in this country, too many despicable, evil incidents like this. Thinking of all the kids involved and their loved ones

If he's been arrested would love for him to just be tortured and thrown in the river.

To do that anyway is shocking but to go into a nursery?

I am guessing they were targeting a member or members of staff.

Pure guess though.

I sincerely hope they weren't targeting kids

First I've heard of it. Love how I get my news from Sky Blues Talk these days instead of BBC or SKY.

Do we have a ral chart out on the perpetrators yet? I need to know if it's mental health or terrorism before I make my mind up.

Alderhay Children’s Hospital has announced a major incident so that speaks volumes. It’s a fucking shithole this place now. Poor babbies.

Very shocking. Especially because Southport isn’t a place known for crime whatsoever

Was it definitely a nursery then or just wild speculation?

A local business owner – who called the police after the stabbings – has described the scene as like something "in a horror movie".

Colin Parry, owner of Masters Vehicle Body Repairs on Hart Street, tells the PA news agency he believes a number of "young girls" had been stabbed.

Parry also describes mothers heading to the scene of the incident and "screaming".

Apologies, deleted the junior doctor post. As always was meant in jest without malice but assumed a random stabbing. My bad for not Googling first what had actually happened if kids involved.

Apologies.

I wonder why the police are saying there is no wider threat to the public?

Must mean the bloke was acting alone and I wonder how they know that.

Could be more than one attacker if it was planned.

8 people being treated for stab wounds, no mention of ages but unfortunately it's hard to imagine that there aren't some children in that number.

Fucking horrific. A nursery of all places. My little girl is at nursery right now, I can't even begin to imagine what those parents are going through, makes you sick to your stomach.

I just saw that a local reporter has stated the victims were children.

Not sure how accurate that is.
