I can't shake the feeling we lose. It's one of the toughest fixtures remaining this season and unfortunately its been bunched together with other tough fixtures. If we get a point i'd be pretty happy,

Southampton are blowing hot and cold. Some good wins lately and then they bombed last weekend. Lets hope for another off weekend. If Wright, Saka an Rudoni are firing on all 4, we should have too much for them

It seems like Tom Fellows is their key player and he missed the defeat against Norwich with a groin problem. He's expected back for our game so a big test for DaSilva

Should have a strong team available though, I'm hoping Wright and Rudoni will look sharper with more mins in their legs.

I think injuries have bogged us down in recent weeks, if we could click again and get back to our previous form we can beat anyone comfortably.

Despite the improved run with their caretaker/new boss... they do concede a few.

It may be a better opportunity than some may think.

I'm.optimistic that Grimes won't have another off day and Rudoni will get a bit sharper. Haji to find the back of the net. 2-1 to the Champions.

Due a win at theirs.

Renewed vigour from a hard fought match last Saturday I believe we can come away with 3 points.

Why not?

I think this will be a score draw, probably with us getting a late equaliser.

It would be great to grab a win but I wouldn't be too unhappy with a draw.

2 good teams, we are more consistent than they are, if we play to our best we win, but even a drop to an 8/10 performance and we could struggle. Going for a 1.1 which would be fine

Lets hope Bristol are up for it after a close loss and do us a favour against Boro

Despite a good run of form, they showed Saturday they are not infallible - It is a tough game, tougher than it was a month or so ago when they were misfiring but not the mammoth task some are making out - A game where I wouldn't be surprised at any of the three possible outcomes

Side note, I have a bit of an underlying respect for Saints - Those of you who were also there in 2012, when they spanked us already relegated on the last day of the season to get promoted will be on the same page, their fans were top class that day and many of them said that one day, it will be our turn again...

Safe journey to all that travel down

I haven't been able to attend home or away for well over 15 months after 2 infections of one of my prosthetic knees but I'll be at The CBS on January 17th something I'm looking forward to very much.

That just leaves me to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and may all our New Years dreams come true.

We've never won at St Mary's, albeit only played there a few times

A draw would be just fine, but as long as everyone from Saturday, remains healthy, I just fancy we might nick this.

1-2

Beat them in our last two visits at The Dell I think (in the space of about a monthh), which seems an age ago.

Can't believe the negativity on their forum about this game. I've already resigned myself to defeat here. Just because it's St Mary's as much as anything and we always lose there.

I remember Gareth Bale scoring one of, if not his first professional goal against us there

They are in a melee at present. They are expecting us to win & not looking forward to 3k Skyblues being noisy .
Another big away game for us & travelling back with 3 glorious points ……. Nothing else to consider .

The bedwetters will soon be on,one's on here already. We have just come through 6 of our toughest fixtures in the season taken 13 points from those and are 17 points clear of our opponents
Their home record is average we have beaten Stoke and Boro who have far better records at home than them.
An other win 50 points before Christmas we are in dreamland

I have a really weird feeling this is one of the games where we just blow a team away. 0-4 Cov - Wright x2, Rudoni, Torp.

Will be a difficult game away from home and anything less than our best will likely result in defeat. I would take a draw.

It kind of feels like they’re in great form and we’re in OK form. But actually when you look at it we’re above them by a point in the last 4, 6 and 8 game form tables.

Remember as we were getting back on the coaches, loads of their fans coming over and wishing us all the best. We sang all the way through the game ‘going down, still singing’.
They mostly think we’ll do them this weekend, would be good to make 50 points for Christmas.

It was a really weird day, we only had a tiny strip of an allocation in the corner and out the way and we were in the midst of a party atmosphere off the back of a rotten season - A friend of my dad ended up selling his ticket for that game to a Saints fan in the pub who was willing to disguise himself amongst our lot in the away end so he could witness their promotion - Used the money he got back for the ticket as beer tokens

I remember we fielded a load of kids and West Ham (Who were also after 2nd) kicked up a bit of a fuss about it, like our full strength side wouldn't have been battered either

Glad it’s not another 3 game week and that we have a full week to rest and prepare for this. A few of our players have been off their best form due to illness, injury, fitness etc. So it’s nice to have a week in between games. Hopefully, the Bristol win settles some nerves and gets us back to playing with more confidence, fluidity and flair. Need to be more solid at the back as we’ve been leaking quite a few goals of late. Think we might need to go with 5 ATB as they’re good at home.

Incredible to think regardless we will still be top, I'm hoping a good performance. I haven't watched them at all this season so have no idea what they are like but they should be strong and surely their fans will feel they should be where we are. So I think weirdly all pressure is on them

I wonder if Arma is still as fast as he was? Could give Bobby and Milan a bit of work to do, hahaha
