How so? If Sunderland are having this terrible terrible season where they want their manager sacked but can win their game in hand (admittedly not likely atm) and be 5 points off third in theory then it shows the league is much of a muchness and this year is the time to go up

3 points from 9th to 2nd is bizarre. Last year after the Boxing Day fixtures there was 16 points between 9th and 2nd.

NL - 9 points

As was ever the case, their crisis was no worse than our lack of wins until the last 3 games3-0 now - I wouldn’t rule them out if they get some momentum with the players they’ve got and crowds they will be a real force
