I've noticed from frequenting various forums and social media that other fans are very complimentary of us and want us to do well. (Maybe not the leicester lot as much) I'm assuming its because we aren't a parachute team or that our rise from the doldrums has been well documented, but some of the comments from other fans really makes me proud to be a Sky Blue. Even the independent youtubers/tiktokers are lauding us. (Particularly Benjamin Bloomfield who is notoriously equivocate but well worth a listen to his pod)

Long may it continue

Thing is, if a non parachute team goes up via the autos it gives everyone a bit of hope that their team and it.

Think Ipswichs success gave everyone that kind of boost.

Good shout. Be amazing if none of them made top 6

I also think we’ve had two ridiculously close playoff defeats in 3 seasons which has built a bit of respect, that and what we very nearly did in the cup.

Saying that I don’t touch Twitter but our fans on there look like a special breed of twat

I check out skyblue twitter about twice a week, (never post), and there is an incredible amount of fucking idiots among them, though they probably think the same about this place.

I know a good mate of one of the worse idiots and he's sound so I won't say too much!

Coventry City fans forum on Facebook 100% takes the title for biggest load of shite ever spouted. (Its the reason I joined SBT) If arseholes could fly that place would be an Airport. Although there are some brilliant memes.

It's about fucking time we had something like this happen. Think as a fan base we've had to get used to snippets of joy, occassionally peeking with cautious hope we might over-acheive.

This feels different, like we've built up properly and aren't so fragile anymore. Long way to go for sure, but defintely not tainting my optimism with so much caution this time. What will be will be, no need to go to Wembley!

Top 5 biggest EFL Championship Twitter twats easily. Birminghams are the only ones I would say for absolute certain are bigger cretins, unsurprisingly perhaps. At least they are top of something.

Tell you what, that goon of a manager they have can sniff Frank’s fingers after he lifts the Championship trophy in March.

It's not even just doing it as a non-parachute team, we've come back from the brink of non-existence and gone up the leagues building up the right way all without a foreign owner spunking cash up us as a vanity project. From homeless and hopeless to lords of our manor in 10 years. Even if I take my Sky Blue goggles off, I still think we're one of the most inspirational stories in the sport in the last decade.

Birmingham, Wrexham, Sheffield Utd must be in there too

Yeh all of them, not something we should take pride in being comparable to though. We have some proper cunts on there.

Tbf to Wrexham I allow their nonsense because they have had so much success in such a short amount of time its almost expected for them to go a bit mental. Imagine winning the lottery after years of destitution and not spending it on Drugs and Strippers.

Birmingham however are like the homeless man who finds a £50 note and buys a bottle of Grey Goose to show off.

Sheffield Utd are the bloke who dropped the 50.

We often talk about the Brentford model but fans of other teams will look at us as example of how to build progressively and be challenge for promotion to the PL.

Just shows the entitlement, doesn't it? Expecting to be "easy top 2". I wouldn't say we've ever been like that, not even now, we're all too worried we're going to fuck it up rather than thinking we'll be "easy top 2".

Most teams that do what we are doing without the massive parachute money achieve it with cynical football, a bit like a good version of Norwich, but we are so far, achieving it with entertaining and attractive football. That will always win over the neutrals
Good point that. I do like to see another team win 5 or 6-0 (alsong not against us)

Absolutely. Remember the turgid football served up by Burnley last year? Got them up, but it was so dull.

In my experience a lot of actual real life Wrexham and Sheff U fans are alright whereas blues fans still have a massive amount of deluded fucktards
