Good question. Clicks I guess. It's a more sensational angle than 'go and support CCFC in their hour of need'.

see I can't help but think, and I have no idea about these things so it I'm happy to be corrected, that somehow on a balance sheet somewhere, any money they've put into us is still owed to them, in some sort of shares or IOU type arrangement.
Now even though they'll never see that money again it's only when they dump the club that it becomes an actual loss. And that's why they're holding on, they want a way out but haven't got one.
Like say, not something I have any understanding off so I could be talking shite.

I don't think they did though mate SISU took our Club to Sixfields for 3-5 years, but came back after 1 season, why? they allowed for 3k on a bad day and 7k on a good day. Crowds never came near 3k(Doing a Grendel home support) maxed a 1.5k and didn't even break 3k including away support! They miss calculated by much more than 60% on both good and bad days. So please, don't tell me that lack of gate money didn't have a massive affect on the Ricoh return!

I'm no mathematician Ctm, but, 25% of 11k is a hell of a lot less than 7k. in other words why say 7k if they meant 2.5k approx

Cut budgets to breakeven worse football = less crowds = more cuts and selling anyone who generates interest in fans = lower crowds. It's a vicious cycle alright.

The owners creating a slow version of NOPM.

Not sure that makes sense....

Do we really want a new set of owners that initially chuck some money in only to pull the plug after a couple of years cos it's run out?

We need a clean break from SISU, The Ricoh and this cycle of relying on other people to keep us going.

Clean break from our owners is a must but where do you suggest we play then and how will it be funded?

Excluding Nick and Grendel on here, has there been any official statement regarding this latest judicial setback from SISU or anyone else connected to the club?

Silence appears deafening .

SISU were the wrong owners becuase they knew nothing about football, wanted to turn over a quick buck and go no doubt.

To be honest I have no idea how we will push forward. A new owner realistically needs to fund a new ground. If they at least do that and we can generate our own incomes as a club then at least it's a platform to build on.

You suggesting SISU are doing their own NOPM.

They probably want the club to take care of itself, leave it on their portfolio, fluke a promotion or two or alternatively claim some compo out of the council.

This is a position we will find ourselves in again if we insisit on a new owner just chucking money at the club with no expectations to get their money back.

Sorry I am not saying they intend to. However like with every failed strategy they tried in their tenure this is another one.
Their intention is for the club to pay for itself. However I am pointing that by trying to do so the finish line keep moving each time they get to it. Their strategy for achieving it (cuts and player sales) leads to less crowds which requires more cuts.
So on so on and so on
So effectively they are creating their own NOPM with the fans as the fans are voting with their feet.
I am not suggesting SISU want this.

Exactly this. It's a downward death spiral basically. The team becomes poor with affordable free players who aren't very good so less fans turn up because it's boring and we lose more often which means then you can only afford less quality players the season after which means you football is even worse and lose again meaning less paying fans turn up again. It's a death spiral and only way out of it is investment as I firmly believe if we go down to league 2 we will be in the conference within 3-4 years. The model doesn't work.

The club is being run by a bloke who is doing it part time who was shit when he was doing it full time and a team manager who is trying to do everything apart from washing the kit and on the bits we can see is failing miserably, the self funding club thing might work if the owners aren't so hated that the fans have stopped turning up.

I think we will be relegated this year and then struggle next year, Stevenson will be gone in the summer at the lastest .
The future looks bleak unless the appalling people go or they go out of business.

How many of us insist on a new owner throwing money at building a team?

Yes money will need to be spent on building a new stadium at some point. But most of us just want someone running our club that gives a shit about it and us supporters. If SISU put as much effort into doing the right thing with our club as they have with pointless legal battles we would be the champions of Europe.

To be fair the significant majority of fans on here understand that and agree... You only have to look on places like the CET comments to see that not everyone thinks that way.

Fucking good guys being the council, the same council who were charging a League One club bearing the city's name 1.2 million a season to play in a stadium they partly owned ,and who tried to block a move to the Butts in case it affected their agreement with a London franchised rugby club.
Good guys my fat arse, you need to fuck off to the council site and pleasure yourself

Whilst I don't agree with the adult language in your post I agree with what you said. The council are a bunch of hypocritical bastards who on one hand said that the moving of sports teams away from their fanbase was wrong and on the other were talking to Wasps about doing just that.
Whilst the council weren't wrong to loan ACL the money (as has been determined by the court) it doesn't mean that they're totally innocent in all this, bloody hypocrites. Neither are Sisu innocent in all this, the innocent ones are us the supporters.

oh and just a reminder one of the plaintiffs listed on the JR2 is Otium Entertainment Group which trades as CCFC. So that means they may be in for the compensation that may be claimed if JR2 successful but also in for the costs (will be SISU decision as to which entity pays court costs or not)
