Richie Baker - Bury Manager

Barker has said the teams coming up from League Two will strengthen the division in 2012-13. "Swindon, Crawley, Shrewsbury and Crewe, who have just sold somebody (Nick Powell to Manchester United) for £3m, have got the finances and the hunger to keep going," he added.

"Crewe were 20-odd games unbeaten so they've got that roll that we had last year.

"The teams coming up, with all due respect, will be stronger than the teams that went down.

"Added to that, you've got Coventry, Doncaster and Portsmouth. They are all pretty big clubs and they will all be great days out to play at some nice stadiums, but they certainly won't be easy."

.......................

He didnt even mention MK Dons, Preston, Sheff Utd et al..

He's right, the teams that have came up are very strong and have money to strengthen. Already alot of strong teams in the league from last season, and us that have came down have decent squads. (depending on who else goes) Will be a tough season but i am looking forward to it!

crawley were dubbed the man city of non league 2 years ago and were spouting about being in the prem within 10 years

cewe have just got 3 million from man utd and have just turned down an offer from derby for one of their kids

Swindon are on a charge and I expect them to be one of the early pace setters

Sheff Utd have lost a couple of players, but were very strong last year and blew it at the final hurdle

MK Dons will be thereabouts

Preston could go either way

Notts County will look to challange for top 6

Doncaster and Pompy, who knows...

CCFC ?

I've been reading about the away support for clubs in this league 1 or 3 (for over 40's)

This will scare SISU, but on average 80% of clubs in the league bring just 400 fans. Is'nt that awful, though clubs like Swindon and Sheff Utd will bring much more, i just hope most of the clubs will see a day out at the Ricoh as a nice day out and bring much more.

Its ironic that they will hanker for a trip to the Wembley of the league and us lot are all nostalgic for antiquated Terraced grounds

I think our attendances might vary depending on how we are doing at the time. If we are winning lots on a promotion charge they will be higher

Crawley got rid of their 2 best players. Crewe have always relied on their youth. I saw Swindon a couple times last season. They played the right way. I'm a bit surprised that people think they're all of a sudden this huge club though?

Sounds to me like the Bury manager was just commenting on the new teams in the league though, hence not mentioning Sheff Utd, MK Dons etc.
