I've said exactly the same myself. They've been scraping results. A bit more difficult as it is at their place. Saw the same thing with Sunderland. 3-0 didn't do us justice.

Certainly a good time to play them.

Can you soften up Burnley for us please

Sheff Utd fans saying that they're fine when playing sides which set up to defend against them but Wilder is tactically inept when teams set up to attack them.

I can’t see why it’s a good time to play them. They’ve got an almost identical record to us over the last 10 games.

It’s a bit of an odd comment really as away from home they’ve won 6 in a row now.

They’ve got more points than any team in this league. I just can’t see them not get automatic promotion

Sheffield Wednesday too quite ridiculous levels of the opposition, what have ours been throughout the season or am I interpreting it wrong, I mean Luton gave whoever it was a right game at the weekend, expect that could be tough, but it's all in the mindset really.

I get the impression that they think the wins are coming because their squad is strong as opposed to anything Wilder does. The season ticket holders I know say that they aren't playing well but keep picking up the points. They certainly don't want Wilder being responsible for signing new players if they promoted.

Luton and Plymouth maybe down when we play them and Mboro could be well out of the play off hunt on final day.
Element of luck to how all teams fixtures fall.

You said exactly the same about Sunderland to me and said they are the better team as they had 13 more points than us. You also stated how they got 18 points out of their last 30. That didn't go well.

I say it for the same reason as Sunderland. They are getting the results but are not playing well at all. Scraping results. Players are knackered as played constantly. They now have 7 players out injured. This isn't including Hamer who is playing with a muscle injury after not being given time to recover. Yes they have the points on the board. But they're nowhere near full strength. So yes it's a good time to play them.

But we are playing at their ground. So like I have said would be happy with a point.

Why are the bookies offering big odds for the clubs Blackburn and below to make the playoffs?

We're 7 points and a better GD minimum above these teams with 8 games to go. So they need to average a point a game more than ourselves. Each time we win they need to win just to go a point behind the target.

4 wins for us from 8 games puts us on 71 points. 6 wins from 8 puts Blackburn on 70 points.

It's not really a shock that the teams further down the league have bigger odds.

Points per game is a very one dimensional way of looking at it. Yes, we are in a good place, but let's not get dizzy. There's still 8 games to go. One loss and that gap can close to practically a coin flip with 7 games left.

Hopefully we can get the job done early enough, and enjoy the journey along the way, but don't be naive to think we can't fuck it up.

So if we don't go by how many points we have on the board are we allowed to use present form? Our present form is excellent. The teams that were well above us just 12 games ago and are now 7 points or more below us are in poor form.

We only need 4 wins out of our last 8 games to be on 71 points. How many others can you see reaching 70 points?

Any team can go on a run of form, any team can fuck it up. We see it every year. We might be in a great position, but it doesn't guarantee anything.

What are you even arguing for? Calm down.

Grimes wants to play for us, Hamer doesn't.

On that basis I'd rather Grimey

Arguing? Just replying to you saying points on the board don't matter. Replying to you saying teams in poor form could suddenly start winning and we could start losing.

Who has guaranteed anything?

I didn't say points on the board didn't matter. You're making that up to get angry about something that isn't there.

I'm saying we shouldn't be complacent and think teams below us can't go on a mad run and take advantage of others that might drop points. You are acting as if the gap is 15 points.

Hamer took the money and a shot at the Prem.

If we go up and they don't there's no doubt who he would prefer to play for. They're flogging him to death. They're not letting his injuries clear up. It looks with the extra weight he is carrying that he maybe isn't training 100%

But they would want too much for him and I don't think we should have him back.

I think its a question of likelihood. And with that its highly unlikely that more than one team below us is going to go on a mad run. Also normally when a play off team does that it starts earlier than this.

I've nothing against him, but he has to live by the decisions he made.

As far as I'm concerned we're no ones second best. You either want to play for us or you don't.

7 points behind us with 8 games to go is massive especially for teams in poor form. Their GD is also not good. We win 4 out of 8. They would have to win 6 and draw the other 2 or win 7 out of 8.

That isn't being overconfident. That's just plain reality.

We all know what's causing his weight issues, and it's nothing to do with injuries
Can't remember who but a couple of players even joked about his lifestyle when he was here in a city unseen video

That's about the time you can stop getting away with it. Before that weight control is easy.

At the current run rates, Sunderland are not out of reach. We could quite easily lose to Sheff U as well as Burnley and still catch up to Sunderland if we won the remaining 6 as that would put us on 77 points. They’ve got some tough opponents coming up where you wouldn’t expect them to lose but there’ll be a few draws in there.

I’m not a gambling man and wouldn’t bet on finishing 4th, it’s just not as impossible as it seems.

Its hard to predict what will happen. I think our two most difficult remaining games could be Plymouth & Luton away. They will be fighting for their lives

I've been saying that for a couple of weeks. Now we have got the win against them it certainly is possible. Most people can't see it though.

Falling away from the top 2 then getting totally outplayed won't help their cause. I'd be happy with 5th though as long as they stay 4th.
