On Skysports at the moment. Supposedly the latest from our club

Coventry City chairman Ken Dulieu insists the club will be leaving 'no stone unturned' in their quest to strengthen the squad.
The Sky Blues
are currently at the wrong end of the Championship table having won just one of their 10 league outings this term.
Dulieu insists the club have been scouring the market for weeks as they look to acquire the talent to fit in with Andy Thorn's
side.
Fans have grown increasingly disgruntled at the club's board for the lack of action in the subsequent loan market, something Dulieu is eager to rectify.
Intention

"It is our intention to bring in a player or players on loan and funds are available to do so," he told the Coventry Telegraph.
"We have been looking at players for several weeks but they have to fit into our style of play and enhance the quality of the team.
"Some of them Andy Thorn has decided not to pursue and in some cases players have opted to go elsewhere or to stay where they are.
"It is something we are still looking closely at, and the club and Andy are leaving no stone unturned."

Seems like old news to me

Utter tripe yet again! We'll end up bringing no1 in, altho Orange Ken might treat us to a surprise loan signing on deadline day (again) just to try and appease fans!!

Stop knocking your own club so much. Yes of course it's believable.
The whole world and his dog knows that.
It doesn't mean they will get anyone though if they can't find anyone available that fits the criteria of both club and manager.
I'm hopeful there will be some to pick from that will improve our squad.

Translation: Fingers crossed we can rush a loan through on the deadline to pretend we care and to keep the fans quite.

This is old news. I'm sure I read the line below somewhere the other day. It may have been on this forum somewhere

Some of them Andy Thorn has decided not to pursue and in some cases players have opted to go elsewhere or to stay where they are.

Good Old Ken.
If Bullshit was music he would have 3 brass bands.
If by any chance you were seeking loaners but were getting stymied by the costs out there what more MENTAL strategy could you devise beyond advertising the situation on Sky Sports? No, the simple truth is that this is an obfuscating ploy to contemptuously manage fans protests and build further false hope. I feel depressed that the club is in the hands of these idiots, no good can possibly come from SISUs Tenure, I am surprised that there hasn't been any protesting about them from fans.

so who beieves the latest crap?

well put 'theoldfive' our owners only seek to placate fans, and in no way, seek to progress the club,
what a bunch of self - effaceable persons they are,
they have NO INTENT to improve our club,
hidden owners do not improve matters,
in the words of a 70's heavy rock anthem by 'the edgar broughton band' (a local band by the way) - OUT DEMONS OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
try it on 'youtube',
could be a chant / banner etc.,

Actually I think this is true. I'm sure they are actively looking at getting people in, but if we ain't got any money then we ain't got any money. We can only get players in we can afford and it has to be said are they going to be any better than we've got?

I think personally we need to bring in whoever we can get even if it's to give the youngsters a break.

I totally agree Torchy! We are the beggars now which leaves slim pickings but we do have the need for a bit of experience or even someone to ease a bit of the pressure on the kids. With Clingan looking sidelined this is now imperative.

We were kinda already debating this here: http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/11893-There-will-be-lies...-sorry...-quot-loans-quot

But to sum up my view, nah, utter crap as ever. Looking and actually being capable of achieving are two very different things. To admit we've been looking all along is an admission of failure, surely!

Actions speak louder than words and as of yet Sisu haven't done nothing to suggest anything will change from the summer......As for looking at players every club is looking even if they are not buying they are all on the look out, so it another excuse to appease the fans, Its more play on words

I also like to comment looking to add to the quality we already have,,,,,,,,,,,FFS WAKE UP we haven't got any..... we have potentially good young prospects but we also have alot of overated senior pros in a team that league position does not lie,, unlike sisu......

Our Financial predicament, is well documented, and the image of our club, is at an all time low. therefore we are seeing players choosing, not to join us, going elsewhere, or even staying where they are.
This is in sharp contrast, to the, "household Names" that clammered to join us, not too long ago, now it seems, every other clubs rejects, even div 1 players are turning their noses up at the prospect of playing for the "Sky Blues"
"Nice Job SiSu" how much more humiliation, do you intend metering out to this once noble club, and its loyal supporters.
Can we believe a single word of what they say anymore,? as they sit on their hands and watch the Sky blues become the "joke Team" of the football league. If they can't stand the "heat of a kitchen" why ever did they try to become a Chef.
Tank Top...Bedworthshire.

Personally its a load of old crap, although i am sure they are looking for Premiership loans, but only offering to pay with loose change that was found down the back of the sofa.

As Chairman, and to gaurantee his fat pay cheque, and conultancy fee, he must deliver such rousing speeches to the fans, whilst having Onye Igwe behind him with the electric cattle prod making sure he submits it to the press, to keep the 'fans on board'

It would be great if we did get some loans, but its about as likely as Dulieu not matching the Perma orange on the Ronseal colour chart.
