Yeah, he owes us so much after everything, right? Wrong, he owes us jack! You have no right to demand anything from Gary Hoffman. SISU, on the other hand, are the custodians of our football club who have finished it of. Might want get a bit angry about that instead, hmmm?

NLHWC It's nothing to do with anger. For heavens sake there's enough of it spewed on here every day to fill sack loads and sell it. Maybe that will help the club!

Why anger at SISU? For the past or the present? Will it get us anywhere?
Look they have made mistakes but they are the only option we have and instead of driving the nail in further which will only result in the extinguishing of our fine football club we need to direct all this energy to forward looking solutions and ideas.

Hoffman you say? Well I guess if you must have 'anger' then send it his way because all he has done is promise hot air. He has stated he and his 'investors' have withdrawn from the scene and there has been no formal offer ever! Go figure.

When everyone is done with their 'anger' please start thinking positively and clearly about the real alternatives we have left for the survival of this football club and all suggestions will be welcome by me and I'm sure many others.

Do you expect Gary Hoffman to talk you through any possible deal stage by stage, I know for a fact it hasn't gone away, far from it and I suggest to you SISU's stance and refusal to pay the rent part of the procedure. Will it happen, who knows ? Are those involved still trying to make it happen, yes.

Oh and Paxman 2 you talk about alternaives, I can assure you there aren't any. SISU will not finance this club anymore.

He tried, he didn't have enough money behind him, it failed.

If he couldn't get the interest then, league 1 won't help that. We all want that knight in shining armor. I just don't think this will happen. He'd of done it already if he could.

I think he's probably staying quiet because you do not speak about on going negotiations, though that's not based on any insider knowledge. However he's admitted things aren't going as planned and I have to admit it's infuriating when you see SISU say they've had no credible bid - I don't reckon they're lying.

it's quite simple really sisu want a buyer but Hoffman investors want it for free which means no credible offer has been made

Not on Hoffman's side at all here, but he has said that they have been to the club on many occasions but that Sisu keep telling them to go away.

This all comes back to the fact that Sisu want either;

1. Investment.
2. To recoup their money.

Neither of these are going to happen. They either need to fund the club or bite the bullet and accept a takeover and the subsequent loses. No-one in their right mind is going to take over the club and give back Sisu the money they invested. That would be pure madness.

No-one's going to invest, no-one's going to give them their money back. They either fund the club or get out.

To be honest, this is not about Hoffman. Nowt to do with Hoffman.

Absolutely!! Why would SISU ,led by the ever transparent Ms. Seppala, start lying now??

According to Brody the 5 year plan to get Coventry out of The Championshipis over, and was achieved 8 months ahead of schedule.

There's a bit of truth in that things haven't gone to plan because his team of investors originally were buying a championship club, however now were a league one club the talks are still on going but with a smaller pay off to sisu, sisu are cheeky bastards they want full value for the club in a sale however say to the council were league one we want cheaper rent, they want there cake and eat it,they have no idea how to run a football club they thought they could make money and leave,.....time to go sisu

I trust "The Hoff" to do the right thing by CCFC. Our illustrious owners had the club for pennies when demanding that they had all shares, and all us fans "Gave them away for free" or "stolen" whichever way you deem to look at it, It's payback time guys!

I want to buy your house off you. I offer you what it is worth. Maybe a little more. You decide you want much more than what it is valued or what anyone would give you for it. So who is deluded. Is it me who refuses to pay well over the value or you for trying to get me to pay multiples of it's true value?

Yes money talks. Greed shows. They are with us to make money, not lose it.

BTW who shall we blame next?

Coventry will have to be sold for a £1 because it's worthless in fact it's less than worthless. Only someone like Hoffman would take it on. He would definately be letting is heart rule his brain.

I said if he wants to get angry, Hoffman is NOT the man to direct it at. All he could ever be accused of is getting people's hopes up, and frankly, that's people's own fault-Hoffman tries to play things down, in general.

And seriously, if you think anger against SISU is unjustified, then I question your passion. I'm totally justified in feeling how I do-I've been shortchanged, and shafted by a bunch of venture capitalist who are here to exploit my love of my football club-they sold us all down the river. They don't get me back until they prove they are organised and honest-neither of which they are doing.

Anger is sometimes justified, and anger sometimes can be used to achieve positive outcomes. As John Lydon once sang, "Anger is an energy". I make no apologies for my anger!

Neither pro or against GH ...... nothing has happened to mean I feel i need to make a judgement. All he has said is that he would try to arrange a deal to get SISU out of the club - it hasnt happened, it doesnt mean he hasnt tried though. No point or need to have a go at him

BUT this situation is not of his making, it has nothing to do with him he isnt actually involved in any of the many crucial decisions that need to be made now.

The only active players at the moment are SISU, the CCFC Board, ACL, the Council and the Charity.

everything else is a distraction and not involved

I can't remember many direct quotes from Hoffman regarding the takeover other than we're working hard and trying to make something happen.

So all this crap being directed at him to pull his finger out, in my opinion, can only be damaging to his/his investors commitment.

Not that they are arsed to read this forum mind you, but still. I don't get it. Its not like he's Jo Dhinsa and been shouting from the rooftops. I imagine no-one will be happier than Gary himself if he can pull this off. remember, he's a fan of the club just like us. We all know SISU is a secretive, ruthless, private sector organisation so i can't imagine how hard it is to negotiate with them.

It's lucky for us that Hofmman is bringing in transparent, friendly, public spirited investors then.

Personally I don't trust any of them. I think of them all as Terry Duckworths.

I am sure there is money to be made from the Ricoh which is what they are all ultimately after.

When anyone is looking for investors they are looking for people who want to make a profit. Name the British Football clubs that make a profit. It's a short list isn't it?

Gaz... astute... honestly your posts are written in a really agresive manner. If they are meant to be psarchastic or remotely funny you both fail miserably. Its just my opinion about hoffman its not an attack. .. you don't have to valliantly defend him. I mean do you love him or something?

Can I remind you both of something that seems not to have crossed your minds. .. hoffman was part of the regime at the club who spectacularly failed in his role to bring on investent. He failed in his job.

He is a banker. Any more need saying? Well yes, the real money men don't faff about. They simply walk in there's your offer ... 40 million for the lot you have 7 days to sell.

Hoffman is taking the p. He wants it all for nothing. Well maybe you want to go back and look at the quotes by hoffman re the finances of the club when that was his role.

Astute I blame all parties for this debacle. . Especially the fans for staying away and bleeding the the club dry of income. . I'm one of them.

I also blame thorn. Sisu. Acl. The council. Higgs. And everyone associated to the disaster that is coventry city football club.

Out of everything though I feel sorry that sisu are being blamestorming for absolutely everyting when in reality the managers. The players and ranson were as much to blame.

I've watched you astute your pretty much a know all on this forum. Nothing worse than a big head know all matey
