I think 15th.

Confidence shot, feeling sorry for oursleves, nothing to play for, up against the best teams in the division for the most part.

Think the slide will go on for some time yet. Next two games are Gillingham and Wigan away.

Then we have Millwall and Bradford.

Couldn't be any tougher.

Yeah about that from 14th - 16th, how depressing!

It would disappoint me, to say the least, but not surprise me, if we don't see another win this season.Your guess at 15th is pretty fair.

I'm predicting between 14th and 18th.

Can't see us getting anything from the top 6 games. Doncaster are worse than us ( it's true) so might get a point there

Just cannot see us getting anywhere near 10th for sure.

Really think now might be the time to give some youth players some game time.

We're losing with our first team. Might just as well lose with a team that includes our academy.

Tell them no pressure on them this season and for them to be looking towards inclusion next season.

Bottom half for sure, an extremely underwhelming 14th-16th

Yep about right.

I think we will almost certainly lose the next 4, Gillingham, Wigan, Millwall and Bradford and then will get a win out of Sheff Utd and Oldham and Doncaster.

My guess is Sheff Utd. Think we owe them one and will be up for that match.

Otis and his perennial 14th place finish!

I must admit though on this occasion it sounds about right.

Some very tough fixtures to come, pax.

Anything from the next 4 games would be a bonus.

I think about 14th and for a club like CCFC at this level, that represents no progress at all. The only other club who have flopped as badly are perhaps Sheffield Utd. Can't see more than the usual faithful 5000 rushing to buy season tickets on the back of that ?! We will face the same old battle with SISU in the summer for the release of funds and end up building late into August, meaning we miss out on much of the available talent.

It would just be typical us to win the last 7 games and finish 7th by a point!

What am I talking about...we'll finish 15th.

Yep, spot on.

They will be desperately wanting good season ticket sales, but we all know that on the back of this embarrassingly disastrous slump, there is only one way the sales will go.

Incredible pressure now on the City to have a flying start next season too. Don't do that and attendances will slump even further.

Bottom line is, we HAD to have a good season this year in order to build upon it next year.

What optimism will there be for next season on the back of this debacle?

It was there though, wasn't it? Within their grasp. A couple of years ago I'd had enough, the hostage situation at Northampton was the last straw so I started going to the rugby (Butts!). I went a couple of times at the start of the season and what with the buzz, the queues at the ticket office etc, I succumbed again and got three half season tickets. That went well. But they had it in their grasp to have crowds of 20,000 plus and they have blown it big style, no one else to blame.

Call yourself a "glass half full" man??

No lower than 10th - we'll probably shock a few with at least one win against the teams above us, then round off the season with a couple of nice wins once it's all far too late (yes i know, it probably is too late already).

I am glass half full.

What do you expect me to say? Being optimistic doesn't mean having to put blinkers on, close your eyes and stick your fingers in your ears! You need something to be optimistic about.

You can be optimistic, but realistic.

Got nothing to do with 'half full.' Being glass half full doesn't mean just blindly going against the bleedin obvious!

The thing about football is that things can change quickly. We have to hope that a turnaround can happen, even if now we aren't likely to finish in the top 6. If I didn't have motivation based on that sort of feeling, I'd have stopped bothering with Cov years ago!

How about a friendly bet, £5 says we finish top half. If you're going to the Sheff U game, we can make the bet redeemable then!

Sounds fine by me.

I am optimistic though. Example of this was first game of the season. A lot of City fans were predicting defeat against the much fancied Wigan, but I said a win. Was very optimistic that day.

Always fancy City's chances against teams until the facts and situation is pretty untenable and is staring me right in the face. Predicted so many defeats correctly of late. That's not me being negative, that's just the reality staring right at me.

I think we will probably lose the next 4 games. Potential to get a draw from one I think and our best hope of victory will be this weekend.

Our home form is now terrible and I would fully expect both Millwall and Bradford to take maximum points against us.

Yep? There it is in a nutshell. Optimistic, but with realism smacking you in the face with great big sledgehammer!

You want me to be optimistic for Saturday on the back of 9 defeats in 13, only 4 goals scored in 8 matches and just 4 wins in 21 games?

That isn't optimism, that is cloud 9, away with the fairies thinking.

My definition of "optimism" is thinking you'll win the next game, or at the very least believing you had a strong chance of doing so!

The Northampton debacle completely broke that devout loyalty for me. I won't ever buy a season ticket whilst these cretins own the club. I've been to 18 matches this year though and the first 10 were good so I was happy to keep shelling out the £20 notes but I think I'm done now this term with things having gone down the pan. Done 3 at CRFC as well, onto the Bees now for the summer !

I am optimistic about England in the Euro's.

We lose the first match though that will change somewhat. Lose the 2nd and I will accept it is going to be really difficult and we're not going to make it.

Don't confuse optimism with blind faith!
