He’s been very quiet recently both on twitter and amongst local radio.

Has he left his position?

What do you want communicating about?

In general. If he’s not communicating with the fans then what is his actual role at the club?
Is he on the wage bill? Or is just another SISU publicity stunt gone wrong?

I think you will find he is minority shareholder and board member.

So he gets no wage from the club then? If he is a board member then no wonder our club is in disarray. Never once attended a game if my memory serves me right.

rather someone who takes no wages than some of the parasites of the past.

Are you for real? He spouts so much drivel its unreal.
Hes a self serving muppet. He applied for the football league job and missed out and since then we’ve not heard from him. Also promised to come on here over a month ago and never did. And like i said he never been to a game. It’s laughable that you actually stick up for him
You tell me what good has come from his appointment?

I'm not sticking up for him but what bad has actually come from his appointment? Nobody apart from those behind the scenes could tell you what's going on and whether he's having an influence. As for the constant communication, people asked for it, he was doing it. People complained he was talking shit, what would you do cos I certainly wouldn't bother anymore!

Well, he listened to people like you and started to communicate. He got.slagged off anyway. He INVESTED with apparently no wage so thats good.

I am struggling to think what he has actually done to piss fans off so much. I can't think of anything bad.

And yes, I am for real. Annoying, eh?

KG – What good has come from it? Surely that’s the question?
I agree to a certain extent about the shit he was getting which was out of order but he made promises about coming on here which he went against. He said he’d arrange more radio interviews with fans never did and foremost he’s not even a ‘soccer’ fan. Supposedly a good spin doctor which is why i feel SISU bought him in.

Looks like SISU are keeping Brody and Dulieu in the background following their recent 'mis-communications', so we can expect more nuggets of information from Mr 'Fire-retardant material' Clouting and Mr 'Personality accountant' Igwe for a few weeks.

I've said it before: this is a sad excuse of a board of 'directors', where only the local 'token businessman' Clarke has any real desire to see CCFC succeed. The rest are mere puppets.

That may be true, but we have no idea if he's bringing in anything good behind the scenes. I'm pretty sure his recent silence has coincided with something he said where he got a particularly large amount of verbal abuse, but I can't think what it is. Like I said, not sticking up for but there's always 2 sides to a story and we don't know his.

What I will say is that it IS rubbish he hasn't been to a game yet.

Take you Brody glasses off for one moment and look at the bigger picture. Like i said i felt sorry for him to an extent with the critism but
You answer me the following.
1) A board member who has never attended a match. Good or bad?
2) He applied for the football league role which he was unsuccesful. Since then we haven;t heard from him. Good or bad?
3) He promised to come and answer questions on here and never. Good or bad?
4) A broad member like the Chairman who don’t even live in the country. Good or bad?
5) No contact with fans since the season started good or bad?

Surely this is the time for him to be in communication with the fans while there’s so much tension. Did he invest? How much a dollar?

Fair point KG but if he can’t take some criticism then he really shouldn’t be involved in a football club. Part and parcel of been in the spotlight. Certain fools like Bates and Risdale take much worse stick but still have the balls to face the music.

I don't see the big deal about him attending a match or even having some thorough knowledge of the sport, unless the next allegation is that he's involved with picking the team. His expertise is media and business, so if he does something good eventually on that side of things I couldn't care less if he's there or not.

Your opinion, fair enough. But I'd like to think everybody involved with the club takes an interest with it at team level. It's more psychologically comforting to think your board members are taking an interest in the team. To me, anyway.

Depends on the level of involvement for me. If you're there for your business and media links I'm not fussed, if you're advising on transfers and team matters I'd like at least some expertise.

Bear in mind I have no idea what Brody actually does, but his background seems to be networking and media and all that jazz.

AJ – On that point, if he is to with media and business then he should be working in this country. While were in ‘business’ hours 8am – 6pm he’s asleep back at ‘home’. When its closing time in this country its working hours in Canada. How can he be able to do a job with such massive gap in time differences?

Think he was told to keep quiet by the Board/Sisu. Things were getting a bit over the top with some of the comments flying around and the PR plan was to keep a low profile........ (think he meant well, i give him credit for attempting to communicate on a better level than CCFC fans had ever had but I think he underestimated fan reactions and demands ).............

In the meantime Clouting and Dulieu dropped their own clangers ............ and positive PR went right out of the window on the last 2 match days

You really have a problem with anyone and everyone within the club at officer level or higher, don't you?
Brody is a board member and a minority shareholder. That means he attend board meetings a few times a year to look after his and the other shareholders investment. He is not involved with the day-to-day operations.
Money is global, the investors and board members can live anywhere on this or other planets, I don't care and neither should anybody else.
Clouting is CEO - it's his job to do any relevant communication about the business. AT is the manager, it's his job to do communication about the team.

Surely, to be a successful club (or any business, for that matter) we need board members who are proactive and contributing in some way, or at least visibly productive (if they prefer to be out of the limelight).

I have plenty of issues with how my club is run.

Over the years we’ve took too much shit and finally were asking questions.

Money is global? Are you taking a quote from Brody book of spin? Our club is in England. Near enough all our business is done in England so since when has Coventry city been a global business? Brody promised so many things back in April on that day when the new broad as announced.

Clouting – i was at the season ticket meeting back in May where Clouting said we’d have the same budget from last year, that was bollocks. The way he’s handled the tensions between fans and stewards has been woeful.
The muppet that is Ken said meetings were arranged with the council and the council knew nothing about them.

If you want to be taken in by the clowns then crack on. I won’t be brainwashed.

As I say, I don't really know what he does or how he does it, so I can't really comment on how effective he may or may not be.

Going back slightly to the subject of board members not having football experience though, it can have its perks - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14901438.stm

I guess the real concern is 'how in touch is he' with footballing issues and ccfc in particular?

It's ok being a distant director in some respects, but in my layman's understanding, a board of Directors should give direction to the strategy,(leaving to managers to implement), but many on here will struggle to understand how a distant board member, with little apparent interest in football matches, can have an understanding to direct?

I have no problem with Brody - he has invested in the club, he has tried to communicate with the fans, he has tried to put over some ideas (however silly they might have been). Yes his lack of knowledge of football and our team is an issue but I have more time for him who is getting no reward, has invested money and has tried things as opposed to Dulieu and Clouting who both take money out of the club and seemingly contribute nothing positive and just continue to alienate the supporters. SISU - if you want to win back some favour get rid of this pair of clowns now.
