Has Connor Thomas Been getting a Twitter Bashing or something
There was an odd 30 second segment In the Sport on CWR this morning with former youth player Josh Ruffles bigging him up and saying how far In the game he will go?

For me it works well, I get to view the text commentary a lot quicker via Twitter then lets say the BBC if I am not a game, plus I also get to follow the U21 match commentary and interact with people you wouldn't see on the forum.

So have you seen anything on Twitter blasting him after the weekend Robo
Just thought it was odd someone no longer connected with the club randomly, popping up on CWR bigging him up this morning

I don't know how people find the time with Twitter, Face-space and all the other stuff that's out there today. My kids sit there on all of them, at least it shows they can multi-task. I'm still one finger typing.

At least you can put more than 15 characters (is that right?) on these posts. Imagine how long it would take fitting some of the posts on here into twitter!

You get out of Twitter what you put in, it's completely up to you what you get to see. Much like Facebook if you find it's full of idiots, it's because you're linked to idiots.

I do wish it wasn't prevalent throughout all culture and on #everything, but that's a different matter.

No, I extrapolated based on a sample of 3 or 4, you're consistent at least.

That sounds okay. But do you have to avoid all the other peoples comments you are following ?

Typically who else do you follow, is it all football related.
I prefer to get the occasional BBC News headline as a message but avoid like on facebook to avoid all the crap. If I want a football feed I follow Sky Sports football app or maybe this board.

It's seems the way of the world that people watch people sleeping on big brother and get excited when Harry Stiles picks his nose.

You can just hover on one account like the official Cov one, or for more activity it allows you to group accounts so you can specifically filter them if you follow a few that provide match updates, for instance.

Pretty much all Football related and CCFC related mainly, the Leon rumour came from Twitter and was later confirmed so it does have it's truths in it, some people take it to far but for that I follow James Blunt because the bloke is hilarious with his comebacks on social media.

italia, I think its a good way of getting news, peoples opinions and their side of the story, and yeah a bit of gossip to be honest, without the other side having to get a face full of your life at the same time unless they choose. Not sure if I explained that very well. So with facebook...if you're friends with someone you both clog each others news feed with crap whether they like it or not (to an extent). With twitter, I can follow Billy Daniels, Jordan Willis, Cyrus Christie etc and catch any news or quotes coming from them, but they don't have to see every time I pick my nose if they don't choose to "follow" me.

Also find it great for traffic news in Nottingham lol.

I heard a few snippets on Top Gear. That's a guy who doesn't take himself too seriously.

One tip with Twitter is that you can choose who you follow so you've got control there, just don't use the search to see real-time comments on anything as it's at least a 99.9% chance you'll see something that makes you despair for the future of humanity.

What? All of it?

Seriously there's no one more clued up than me. All Apple .... Iphone, Ipad, Apple Mac Desktop, Macbook Pro and Apple Tv.

My experiences with Facebook and Twitter is that it appears useful but there are to many overheads with it.

I limit my friends and who I am following but still get bogged down with adverts, recommendations, videos. All very tedious.

If I want information I subscribe to a feed, say BBC or Google it when I want.

You'll be telling me next that Big Brother is a great watch :thinking about:

Well not necessarily all of it, believe me I was skeptical at first with Twitter but now find it to be a great source of information as long as you're clued up on how social media operates.

But obviously it won't be for everyone, I think its just a case of don't knock it until you've tried it and you said you've tried it so fair play.

What I will say is that it is miles better than Facebook and has less adverts, recommendations and general social media crap.

In terms of my views on Big Brother here's a tweet I sent out a couple of months ago: If you're watching Celebrity Big Brother, go to the kitchen, turn the oven on and stick your head in it #CarCrashTv #Drivel

I wasn't keen on Twitter to start with, but now I find it invaluable.

You have to choose carefully who you follow, it is not mandatory to follow lots of people, I only follow 64.. mostly concerned with CCFC, but a few amusing ones too.

I've found I chop and change the feeds I follow according to what I'm particularly interested in.

Just for a laugh on RoboCCFC90's recommendation I just followed James Blunt, can't stand his music, but I remember him being very funny on Johnathan Ross a few years back, so I will give it a whirl.
