I was trying to watch the game with my dad but he struggles with dementia and I couldn’t work things out

I’m guessing a point next week would be enough

Basically it was a shoot out between us and Sunderland and still is. We need a point, they need to win and us to lose

If we lose we need Sunderland to not win. I think. Barring a WBA win which keeps them in it.

We could still get in with a Sunderland win if Millwall and Blackburn draw.

If Blackburn don’t win Monday and wba today Only a Middlesbrough Sunderland Millwall treble can stop us

Or Middlesbrough could play a weakened team and we could just play a boring 0-0

Would be classic Cov to lose to Middlesbrough’s reserves and miss out on goal difference.

Robins and Carrick; midweek discussion, pass the ball around for 90 minutes. No one have a shot. Drab nil nil. Sunderland win 15-0 and their fans have another 40 plus years of hatred. Happy days.

69 points.....which we now have......should be enough. 70 points is enough to guarantee our place in the playoffs.

Looking good now. 1 defeat in our last 16 games. What an achievement 4 more games without a defeat means we can get stuffed every week in the Prem

Point secures play off place

Lose and we need one of Millwall or Sunderland to not win.

So were looking for one of Sunderland not to win at Preston or Millwall - Blackburn to be a draw.

If Blackburn lose or draw on Monday then a Blackburn win is acceptable as well in that fixture.

If Blackburn win Monday then the winner of Blackburn-Millwall will finish ahead of us should we lose, which means we would be relying on Sunderland not to win or Blackburn - Millwall to be a draw.

5 goal swing to West Brom if they win could be interesting if we lose of course.

So a Blackburn draw on Monday would keep them in it just, meaning Millwall is a must win for them.
It also means they cannot finish above us, but can still get 6th if Sunderland’s result goes their way.

Yea Blackburn draw is best Monday, as they won't finish ahead of us but will keep them fighting last day at Millwall

Depends how up for it Boro and PNE are. A hard fought draw at Millwall though is fine for us regardless of how we do.

As lovely as that would be, I'm sure Boro want to win - they'd prefer to play the inferior team in the playoffs.

Would be a perfect result for us. Then Blackburn beat Millwall as they should. Easily better than Millwall ATM. Two teams out of the equation.

As long as we don't have a heavy defeat to Middlesbrough it would leave WBA needing a big win away to Swansea to go past us if they beat Norwich....presently winning 2-1. Sunderland would need to beat Preston away who also have an excellent clean sheet record like ourselves to go past us.

Get a point at Middlesbrough and it is all irrelevant. We would be in the playoffs.

Realistically its 3 teams fighting for 2 places.
Reckon WBA have too much to do to get involved on GD.

But playing decent football. They have been unlucky. They would have beaten us if it wasn't for the Wilson goal in They dieing seconds. Same happened again to them next game.

Would you like to state the Millwall form?

Hyam’s second trip to the Den this season. Part of a defence that’s been undone by last minute goalie goals, own goals and a screamer.

Think they have a good chance of beating Luton then it’s all up for grabs.
