Around £800,000 by my reckoning do you think part of that saving will be handed to Mark Robins to strengthen the squad in January, spending lets say half £400k would in my opinion secure a play-off spot atleast, afterall we have been constantly told by Mr.Waggott and Mr.Fisher that there's a new approach from our owners and personal hands on interest from Ms. Sepella

Good point but maybe it's already spent.
I think if we keep the same squad there's no better in the league

No chance - we have a £3Million hole - this only goes part way to cover that - bottom line is we need to lose players wages - and a lot of them - but we can't cos they are on contracts and nobody else will want them at the same wage

Want to blame someone - blame the players on stupidly high wages that don't even feature anymore

You cant really blame the players for accepting stupidly high wages or long contracts - lets face it, we all would....blame the guy(s) who negotiated the contracts

Yes fair play to kilbane....we may not have rated his footballing ability, but he is actually a top bloke...IIRC, he's apparently donating his autobiography proceeds to charity :claping hands:

Bell
Ball
Brown
Hussey
Rod
Elliot
Malaga

And it doesn't appear that Robins particularly rates cody.

Wood is reportedly the highest earner.

It's very good that it's going to charity, especuially given his personal circumstances.

Still don't think that much of a market for his autobiography though, nobody buys biographies unless it's a comedian nowadays sadly.

No chance! we're not gaining anything just a little less expenditure! main priorities this month should be securing Frank Moussa, James Bailiey and doing the best the club can do to sign Mcgoldrick.

Frank Moussa is already ours. I think he had a short-term deal. It's up to MR to extend that. I hope he does, after an indifferent start, he's excellent for the last month or so.

Really? Everton fans maight buy a Duncan Ferguson or a David Moyes one, but don't think Kilbane a big enough player for them, and lacks bad boy cult status too.

Same would go for Ireland fans, a Roy Keane, Jack Charlton, Niall Quinn would(and have sold well), but don't think too may would rush out for a Kilbane book.

Not a big enough "star" player, and(though good for him), ddoesn't have any sort of bad-boy cult image to attract too many buyers.

Could be wrong, though check out any amount of "cheap" book shops and you'll find piles of hardback footballers autobiographies going for a pound.

So, no chance we will see any of the money, but we should sign 3 players, one of which will be £250k at a absolute minimum

The club needs to sort their issues out ASAP and hopefully the club can get some new owners in,to move this club more further.
