From GR's mouth itself :
"We had a very good alternative buyer but the council didn't approve of one of the people involved and black-balled it. It would have been much, much better than this but that's all past history.

"The point is these people are just dreadful and ought to be held to account or, preferably, just get out."

I love this alternate reality that we're told almost happened, where EVERYTHING would have been awesome were it not for evil SISU. We'd have had benevolent philanthropic billionaire owners giving free hugs with every season ticket (which only cost a smile by the way) while Jordan Henderson pings another ball onto Andy Carroll's head as he clinches the Champions League for the third time in a row. Look, Ray Ranson's coming on at right-back! I can't wait for the victory parade along rainbow road up to sugar mountain, now let's ride our unicorns to the free money pit.

Please point out where I have said at any point that things would have been better... I simply stated that there was another option, up until now we were always told there was one and that was SISU

I know, I wasn't saying you did. It's Robinson who did in the quote, much like Ranson did after he left.

Fair enough, He is just expressing his opinion though and as we have no idea who the other party was makes it hard to judge it.

If it was somebody Robinson approved off you can bet your bottom dollar it had nothing to do with what good they could have done for the club, more what good they could have done for Coventry's favourite politician and gigolo.

Just did a bit of digging and found this http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/coventry_city/7079120.stm

So Geoffrey robinson's 'alternate buyer' who would have been better for the club was himself?

I'm inclined not to believe the entirety of his comments being true folks. He's a politician remember and a bad one at that.

As we were going into admin his shares wouldn't have been worth anything regardless so why he is dredging up negative news now only he knows. I guess it lets the public know he is still kicking about.
