Yeovil is obviously the reverse of the opening game of the season.

I think it's a surprising stat that almost certainly only one outfield player will start on Saturday who started the season opener.

Yes indeed. Gary Johnson has made huge changes at the club. Used to live in Yeovil and have a soft spot for them BUT not tomorrow!

Yep. That's unbelievable. We have a very settled winning team now which is nothing like the team that wasn't winning at the beginning.

I think it's amazing that people were gutted back then by a draw away at Yeovil. It was deemed as one of the results that should lead to the sacking of our manager.

Draw at home tomorrow?

Personally I would not be too gutted by that.

Win would be great though.

Looking back, it seems odd that the likes of Baker and Sheff weren't in the side. People forget how bad they had been at the end of last season

Also, what ever happened to Brown? Is he still at CCFC?

No, Brown went back to Man U last month, or Dec (I can't remember which but he's not with us now).

It was a miracle we did draw with that team.

Jennings Elliot, Baker, Sheff and the Edj were on the bench.

DMC had not signed yet, Clarke is his replacement

Clarke and Christie keep battling for that right back spot.

So Adams Bailey Moussa that's what has really changed.

Nice try. Strange baker wasn't good enough to get in the team then.

He played the next match against Sheffield.

So could have been injured carried a knock, or needed to force his way in.

01 Murphy
03 Hussey
06 Malaga
24 Wood
35 Brown
08 Baker (McSheffrey - 88' )
12 Jennings
15 Kilbane
16 Barton Booked
09 McDonald
14 Elliott Booked (Ball - 85' )
Substitutes
13 Dunn
25 Edjenguele
26 Willis
11 McSheffrey
17 Ball
19 O'Donovan
27 Daniels

Hussey, Brown, McDonald, Kilbane gone

Adams Bailey Moussa in Leon was the replacement for DMC

So personally I think the real change is those three.

I think we need a win. However I don't think it would be that shocking a result to get a draw. Like us they are on fire.

Whichever way you look at it, there's 6-7 changes from the first few games. Those 3/4 players you've said have made a huge difference to the dynamic of the team.

Possibly. Perhaps Edge had a knock and that's why brown played. Perhaps mcsheffrey was not well hence kilbane playing. Perhaps Daniels should still be in the team.

Who knows.

Daniels, no that was because Jennings was not fit.

Brown was picked over Edj

Kilbane has been replaced with Bailey

Hussey with Adams

McDonald with DMC now Leon.

Sheff I believe was not in fire in some of the ore season friendliest and I think was challenged to force his way in.

It's good to finally have a squad where this can happen.

Interesting to note once again the 9 AT signings and where they now feature in the side.

Malaga
Brown
Kilbane
Ball
Jennings
Edge
Fleck
Barton
Elliot

Don't wish to get into yet another AT slagging contest, but hardly any of those 'very good' signings now getting game time is there.

Could be said that out of those 9 only 2 have truly been a success (Jennings and Edge). The rest have been bit part players for the most part.

My main point is that when people bragged is up at the start of the season this is the team we had. No one could seriously label that team as promotion contenders.

At least half of thos players are not even close to league one standard.

When a new manager comes they always have their own ideas and there own players.

MR has made 4 signings that will be here till the end if the season.

I would expect them to play otherwise why sign them.

He said he would not sign anyone unless he tought they could improve on the current squad.

Personally I do think Fleck and Barton are league one standard.

Malaga remind me how many chances has he had?

Brown Kilbane, I think it was fair to expect them to do better than they did.

Elliot, Edge, Jennings seem to have lived up to the billing.

AT all but put the pen on the paper for the DMC signing.

In my book Malaga untested.

Brown, Ball, Kilbane bad signings.

For me Barton is looking a poor signing. Fleck, jury still out. Malaga, poor signing, Brown, Kilbane, Ball, poor signings. Edge and Jennings, good signings, Elliot, jury still out. He's only played 15 games.

AT did say all 9 were very good signings, so I do think he made a number of mistakes in signing many of the 9. Kilbane was a gamble I certainly think was worth the risk, but Brown looked an absolutely awful player. Almost of Sunday football standard.

What's happened to Fleck? Is he injured? He wasn't even on the bench on Tuesday.

Barton hasn't been poor, he's scored 3 v good goals and had a good assist.

I'd say in-form players have kept him out, so the jury's our for him, the rest I agree.

Although Fleck is still our top assister, for all the stick he gets.

Well whoopeee do. 3 whole goals and a super duper assist. 19 games, 3 goals. Why hasn't he played for England yet I wonder?:claping hands:

Poor argument that. Yep, 3 good goals, but not a lot else from him and much of the time he doesn't even got on the bench. Poor signing. Really hard to argue otherwise.

Not saying he's not a good player, just that he's a bad signing.

McSheffrey has got 1 in 23, yet, people get a hard on over him...

McSheffrey has got 6 points (5 assists, 1 goal), everybody goes on like he's literally Thierry Henry, but if Fleck (8 points) and Barton (4) are poor, both in 1 and 4 less appearances respectively, wouldn't that make McSheffrey poor as well?

McSheffrey's productivity hasn't been great, not much better than the 'poor' Barton and less than the 'poor' Fleck.

Who's saying Fleck is poor?

Jury still out for me.

Sheff creates a lot more than Barton. That's why he is in the team ahead of him. Not that Barton can play left wing anyway. Barton also lacks pace and in the centre of the field with his non-existent tackling ability he can be a liability at times.

Just can't see he is suited to this level/style of football.

The Fleck part was for the Grendels and Stupots of the forum.

I do think Barton should be on the bench, with Fleck starting, and Moussa LM, but my point is, for all those who 'rim' McSheff, he hasn't done much more than Barton and less than Fleck.

What annoys me most with Sheff is that he is probably our most wasteful player, he tries to score a 35 yard screamer on his right foot, not gong to happen, and it ends up in row ZZ, his crossing is very hit and miss, hits a peach, then blazes a cross out for a throw-in on the other side, not to mention he's a weak defender. He's frustratingly hit and miss.

Point is a draw against Yeovil away and a draw against Sheff Utd aren't really results worth losing your job over
