If we fluke our way out of this mess, I can't see things improving for next season without serious investment and a change in ownership.

Maybe League 1 is our best fit. We may even win away from home in that league. Once.

This season is a statistical nightmare and its not over yet. Any joy at escaping relegation will be short-lived with the likes of Nimely returning to their clubs.

Apart from that....the future looks bright.

We still wouldn't have any money, gates would drop and all we would do is replace a Championship stuggle with a League 1 struggle.

I think gates would improve if we were doing well as the local bandwagoners wouldn't be able to resist.

Yes, but it's all down to how many of our squad we can keep. If we sell our best players it is highly unlikely we will do well. We will have an even weaker squad.

I am expecting all our best players to be sold.

Only hope would be quality loans I feel.

this squad will do better next year imo,lots of kids have got experience and they would be boosted from a great end to the season(if we have survived) more togetherness and i expect the team to get more points simply.

If we keep those great kids. Big clubs will have been watching Christie and Bigi and Thomas. If offers come in for them they will be gone too, along with Keogh, Clingan and Cranie.

There could be another 6 or 7 gone. Then what would we be left with? Bell? Baker?

Yes, there's a good chance that Cranie will go and I think that CLingan has already made up his mind. As for the kids, hopefully they'll stay. Nothing wrong with Bell or Baker.

I think it's the likes of Bell and Baker and their 'play well once every 4 games' situation that has contributed so much to our very awful season.

I for one will be happy if we stay up - whether SISU in charge or otherwise. I am sick and tired of attempts to hound own the present owner with no viable or credible alternative investor...and do not give me the rubbish about Hoffman this and that...Hoffman's silence says it all. All mouth and no trousers.

Well in 8 weeks they stop funding us by the looks of it. Aren't they wonderful - let's lay off them - they've erm... tried their best...?!

None of the 'senior players' would get my vote for Player of the Season.

They should be leading the fight, leading by example. Yeah right. Don't even get me started on Fat Freddy.

Its been Keogh and the young guns like Thomas, Bigi, Christie and Clarke who have been the (relative) stars of the season. There's time for MacDonald to make an impact too and the signs of that look somewhat promising.

I can see where you,re coming from, but I can't imagine gates getting any bigger in div one,maybe they will just about keep pace with what we have now, but relegation will just about be the last straw for many,
Have you seen any div one football, on the telly..Torch?
its a miserable, God forsaken place to be, and some, including myself are waiting to draw a line under our Sky Blue years, having supported them, full circle and back again.
I would consider gates will be arround 10,000, or so, with many getting the Hump over price increases for a lesser product, of cause, a change of ownership, would be a massive stimulus, and this on its own, would most likely see an increase in attendance, even if we are relegated.
