For a moment I thought the nightmare of no stadium in 2 years and no academy in 1 year was real !!

It was only a nightmare? Thank God! I also had one. I lived in a world where CCFC fans would back the council, a trust and a franchise rugby team over their own club! They didn't care what happened to the club as long as its owners "got it". I know, it sounds stupid, but it just felt so real. Wouldn't happen in the waking world, of course.

IIRC It's a temporary facility at Broad street while they find and build the permanent complex.

No I get that because our football club is getting shafted, particularly that clause.
But I am directed my anger more at SISU over Wasps.
How the hell can we repeatedly say we are going elsewhere.
Then always at the last minute when someone else steps in.
We suddenly show an interest when it is too late.
Then get really pissed off when we miss out!!
I just hope now we were not bullshitting about this new stadium/academy/ training facility
and we get on with it quick time

Were we? Didn't realise that all rental agreements had been cancelled... In fact seeing as we recently extended our stay at Ricoh for 2 more years, not sure how that translates to we are moving away from.

Contracts have to be renewed/agreed at various points - but your justification of Wasps actions seem to be based on some 'supposed' comments rather than any firm actions.

You are conviently ignoring all our statements
Until the one that created a big stir in here not so long ago and people saying maybe Italia was right. When Mr Anderson said he would consider doing a long term deal with Wasps.
Prior to this as what happened with the Ricoh itself
It was new stadium, new training facility, new academy.
Remind me Why did we only sign a short term deal at the Ricoh and then at the academy when we returned to both venues?

Nobody is ignoring anything, but an actual formal cancellation didn't happen did it?

If we are going off just statements then the council should have told Wasps to piss off as they wanted to move to London.

People are going on and on because Wasps said "they wanted to move out", when Wasps post up the formal confirmation they or CSF have received about the Higgs to show CCFC wanted to cancel or confirm they received cancellation then surely that's when that happened?

A statement in a newspaper is not actual cancellation, like the one that CCFC received from CSF giving them notice.

Keep referring to the statement is just allowing the CCC and Wasps to get away with it. We know it was posturing, we know it was to drive the price down, we know SISU were conducting business their way, distressing a company to acquire it as cheap as possible. We knew it weren't going to happen. All parties did. Therefore they have taken the action knowing it will damage the club. Some might say it will damage SISU, but how? They care for a return and nothing else. If they see 133 years of footballing history disappear on it's watch, will it bother them? Should it bother the local council and local charity? SISU were being bullies, people say, no, SISU were being a hedge fund. The council knew they were a hedge fund when they took over, the mystery behind who the investors were there when they took over as they are now. Why weren't the council bothered about faceless investors then? Did the council think a multi million hedge fund would be dictated to by a local council? That Joy Seppalla who has been in charge of millions of investors money who has forged a reputation as being hard nosed would let Ann Lucas tell her what she can and can't have, what she can and can't do. It was never going to happen. It's become about councillors egos rather than the cities sporting clubs. They are doing irreversible damage to both CCFC and CRFC.

Thinking Wasps will take us over and everything become ok are crazy. We are told on one hand Wasps are just a business and are just doing what is best for them. Yet expect that if they take over CCFC it will be because they care or how they think we as fans have been mistreated matters, they don't think that. If they ever did buy us, it would be solely to manipulate the club to allow Wasps to prosper. After all Wasps are there priority people say? The crazy thing is there is more chance of SISU wanting us to be successful than Wasps. Now the actual debt may not be what they claim but I would estimate it is approx 30m? Now chances of getting all that back from any compo from a JR is slim, would they then walk away still at a loss? Or continue to run the club at break even? Hope for a promotion? They may not want to speculate to accumulate but they would be more welcoming to CCFC success than Wasps would be.

I have said numerous times now this is being done by all parties to vindicate the councils decision. Wasps have more of a chance to be successful with CCFC nowhere to be seen. They don't want us at the Ricoh because people associate CCFC with the ricoh not Wasps. If we're not there that association will go allowing it to be Ricoh home of the Wasps. They don't want us to have an academy so that their is little connection between the community and CCFC. Youngsters will have no facilities to play football or progress in the community. Some will go elsewhere. Some might turn to Rugby. This is a concerted effort to rid the city of CCFC. Something happened to stop them talks over the Higgs share. This is what we need to know. Whatever it was, it wasn't enough to be spiteful and vindictive to ruin 133 years of footballing history. Don't care what SISU might/might not have called anyone at the CCC or Higgs. None of the it's becuase they wanted it on the cheap but because at one stage the council were all for it.

The problem is you just look at it from the perspective of a pissed off Cov fan.
For a long time we have repeatedly said plan number one is our own stadium, training facility and Academy.
Joy even said it when we finally returned to the Ricoh.
We only signed a 2 year possible 4 in order to allow us to build said facility.
We only needed a short term deal at the academy to build this facility.

Now you are Wasps you decide out of all the sites you look at Higgs is the best for you.

You owe CCFC nothing. When you start looking at the Higgs Centre CCFC are stating that they are their temporarily whilst they build their own.

As you get near to the point of commiting to the Higgs Centre. CCFC decide they want to stay their long term.
When you announce that you are definitely going for the Higgs centre CCFC say they want to move their first team there.

Say as businessmen you decide to help out CCFC and you choose a different site that is less suitable.

Then CCFC change their minds and start playing silly buggers with the Higgs centre again and no longer want to commit long term.

Or because of the history between SISU and the Higgs it turns out they can't stay there long term anyway.

You as the Wasps businessman have just screwed up big time?

Investors will rightly ask why?

Do you say well if we chose the Higgs site we would have upset the Coventry fans who are the only blameless victims on the mess?

That's very honourable but doesn't cut it.

Unfortunately Wasps owe us nothing they are here because we decided we were going to barter people in caught and tie people in legal battles for years because that's what we do.

I am pissed off as a Cov fan but I know who carries the lion share of the blame, it isn't Wasps.

Of course Italia is sticking up for Wasps again he's in business with them. If he had some parking off the football club and not wasps ,he would suddenly stick up for us.
I hope one day if we are at the Butts , that Wasps fuck off back to where they came from, he'll be fucked then ,and so will the council , with an aging white elephant of a stadium that the tax payers have to maintain.
You watch them come screaming back.
Football club comes first for me

Wrong. They are here because they didn't mind moving a club 95 miles away from it's rightful home. You know the thing people hate SISU for. C'mon Dongo. Call a spade a spade. Don't make out that they are wonderful people, they're not. There as bad as SISU if not worse. Same for the council .Whilst people continually blame SISU, the club is destroyed. It's appalling fans can't see this. Can't see it because of blind hatred.

Completely disagree with the move.
RFA like the football, should ban that type of thing.

RFA = morally wrong for allowing it
Wasps morally wrong for doing. Business wise very smart
Council = morally wrong on a sporting front for encouraging it.
Business front and looking after Coventry as a whole smart move
SISU morally wrong when they moved us to Northampton.
Business-wise so far seem to be wrong on most directions chosen and their decision created a gift for Wasps

How was it a smart business move for the council if they shit loads less than it was worth?
How was it good for the council 'looking after Coventry' when they are wiping out potentially 133 years of sporting history?

They were going to get even less the Footbal club said they would not have done the deal the Wasps did remember and the football club were going to build a new stadium outside of Coventry.
If you can't see how it was a smart move business-wise by the council I am not sure you are been sincere.
I get the moral outrage but you are kidding yourself if you think business-wise it wasn't smart.

Have a read of some threads, see how people are saying it is good business and stuff like that what Wasps / CSF etc are doing.

Dongo keeps banging on about it just being good business from Wasps for starters.

Have a look at how glad some people are about this situation?

Yes please do have a look lets and if you find a thread where I say how happy I am that Wasps are where we should be, I will bare my arse in broad gate.
There is a big difference between understanding why this has happened and been happy about it.
Due to the actions of SISU it was a smart move by Wasps and the council.
Doesn't mean I will be having a beer in celebration tonight more like one in sorrow

Nick at the end of the day we have been strung along lies to and moved away by our owners yet people are expected to bury the hatchet and listen to even more of their bullshit.

Agreed. How can you back someone who constantly BS's you. I started a thread about coming clean on the third party litigation. If they did we could at least get onto Wasps together as a fan base and say look our owners are dicks and set us in a course of action that they don't have the power to take us of. Don't use that to punish the club and it's fans and get back around the table with CA. If we could unite behind a truth we'd stand a chance of fighting for the club but our owners won't throw us a bone.

It happened again yesterday with the we didn't know Higgs put clauses on the transferral of the AEHC line. I called bollocks on that straight away to myself. Didn't know 100% but if something looks, smells and tastes of bullshit it's bullshit. OSB seems to have confirmed that today by pointing out that the changes were made with companies house months ago. Same old same old SISU. Keeping us in the dark, feeding us on BS like mushrooms and then playing the victim when all their chickens have come home to roost. You can't back them to back our club and that makes the course that they and they alone are steering our club on unbackable. If that's not reason enough for them to go I seriously don't know what is. They're finished as far as I'm concerned unless they very very quickly bring out a straight bat.

How do we know they went on companies house and read it? No one did on here, its only because OSB had gone back and read it.

We'll never know whether the club had read it or not. Simon didn't know about it, hence why was it only published yesterday?

Charm offences like the promises made to crfc they haven't stuck to, the conditions about teams not being worse off that haven't been stuck to.

You only have to see the other day when news came out about wasps, people saying to boycott wasps etc. They put out a generic statement just tiring it on the club and see how things change.
