I don't know.
Time will tell but we really need to stop all this shit as it is not helping.
we need to rally around as a united group ask the right people questions and demand answers you won't get it from the representatives of all the parties involved you need to talk to the people who make the decisions.
Biggest problem is getting them to talk..... And then answer the questions honestly.

But you are saying they don't want to work with them, what have you been told? There must be a reason for them going to scg etc etc.

I don't think the "i know stuff" approach helps much. The more everybody knows the more they can get behind things

Ask the SCG or better still attend one of the meetings.
After all you actually represent more people then most of those others put together.
Or are you worried about what you might see?

I have read the minutes, there is nothing in there to say CRFC don't want to work with CCFC so it wouldn't make much difference would it?

If people are going to try and meet all parties, then try and get minutes or something close to them.

Do you think Tim and SISU will spend the money, build a new ground and whilst doing all this will elect the next Pope cos they really want the Sky Blues to succeed. And just in case someone (Grendel and Nick) thinks I only post about SISU can I mention I was at Coventry when we payed Wolves in 67, Bayern Munich 1970 and watched Willy Carr score the donkey kick against Everton etc

Why? cos I hate Tim, Joy and all your little friends at SISU, still awaiting you tell me what they have done to support Sky Blues(not SISU), You really are a little (small finger troll) AND before you start I started going to CCFC in 1961 to watch MY team (I have never ever wavered) so IF I say it as I see it why do you want to change the subject. (perhaps Tim is giving you one (a free season ticket I mean)

Friends at SISU? Can safely say I have never met any of them there now and dont intend to. (apart from ML once with some other fans because I felt I had to to enable other fans to get the chance)

Little? I would doubt that also.

The next point, I paid for my season tickets the same as anybody else

So there are 3 bits you were wrong on straight off. If you want to start having digs at least try and get quite close with them, otherwise you just look like the troll you seem to accuse others of. Next you will be accusing people of being stooges.

Last bit, I can't remember being asked or anybody actually saying on here that SISU were going to invest shit loads of money to get us to the promised land or most of the crap you keep going on about.

Can't wait for the actual football season to start.

Don't believe all you read (not saying these minutes were wrong )after all just look at The Telegraph and Observer.......
As for minutes some times they are not allowed to be published for various reasons.
Who gets to see delicate parts of minutes of meetings from their place of work?

So did I (season ticket for 2016 - 2017), so we now have something in common, so stop with the suggestions that I am some troll. I have never wavered in supporting the Sky Blues. Lets hope 2016-2017 is the promotion season we have, all true Sky Blue supporters waited and dreamed for , we deserve it after all these years

I'm on about if people like the trust are meeting with them to see what is said and by who, rather than just relying on the "trust us, wink wink" stuff without knowing who says what to make minds up.

The sense is when you frequently say councils have to do the right thing for all taxpayers - which of course is nonsense anyway.

The statement was drawing comparisons to two other clubs.

Forest is the most significant one. The club took loans to expand the stadium in the mid 90's.

Due to their financial position even then they had to find a guarantor for the loan. Nottingham council did this as they saw a benefit that ground expansion could make the ground attractive to international matches.

By 2004 with nearly £5 million still outstanding forest stopped paying. They didn't even advise the council. The council had to immediately pay a £200,000 interest payment and then paid the loan.

There was talk about the council taking the ground off forest or winding them up.

In the end they didn't. They decided the tax payer money was valid as it ultimately the football club with all it's history and all it's community benefits was worth protecting.

It's believed (though never publicised) a long term arrangement was made to pay the loan back.

The point is that if mutton Lucas and co were in Nottingham no doubt they'd have repossessed the ground, made the club pay an extortionate rent and no revenues and when they went bust found another club from London to take it's place.

Personally Nottingham are a council I would be proud to have. Oh and this decision against the taxpayer made no difference at the ballot box either.

I think I get what you're saying. Basically CRFC don't want or need a 15K, 18K and certainly not 25K stadium but don't have the resources to build what they do need. So basically string along the local football team with the most incompetent owners ever, take advantage of their situation and convince them to help build something like a 10K stadium as an emergency measure because all other bridges have been burnt by said incompetent owners of the football club where as the reality is that if there is ever further development it will be lucky if capacity ever gets past 13K (I think its been mentioned on here a few times that they are already at some stage of planning approval for this) so basically 11K at best for home fans with minimum away allocation and segregation but CRFC are alright so it doesn't matter jack about CCFC's future because Coventry is going to be the City of Rugby so CRFC are shafting us to get what they want. League 2-1 yo-yo club for life here we come. 10K will end up being to big for us.

How's that for a stab in the dark LAST?

And who does the minutes? What are the chances that they're tailored to suit a certain message?

Back to playing with a straight bat again aren't we Nick. You can't (other than going to games to support the team) support a campaign to help the club when the powers that be are playing games with the club and fans. How do you know what you're doing is the best for the club?

It don't matter what we do our opinions don't count to any party, especially the custodians of the club. They're all playing games. Fuck them all I say. Just go and support the team on match day. It's the only real effect we can have the rest of them are all clearly going to play this out there own way with or without our support and let's face it, non of them have earned our support.

Surely if they were bad then people like Steve and Jan could say "hang on, thats not right". The same as Jan did when Gilbert took Tim Fishers comments out of context...

My point was reading the minutes wont tell me why CRFC wont work with CCFC like LAST said, as he was clearly letting on that he seems to know something we dont.

Obviously the finer details of the potential link up between CCFC and CRFC aren't know yet, but at this stage I can't see why Cov Rugby would want to get themselves involved with a 13k/15k/18k/25k stadium.

It's been presented as a joint venture, but Sky Blues would get at least 12k based on current gates but Cov Rugby only a couple of thousand at best.

They would keep all the food/beverages, car parking + tickets monies from the days they play - so CCFC would comparatively far better off with regards revenue but both, from what I understand, would be paying half of the costs of running the stadium, so Cov Rugby would be paying comparatively through the nose for a stadium they only actually make partial use of when looking at the capacity.

They'd also find themselves financial playing second fiddle to the company they're extending the hand of friendship to.

I just don't think it would be an odd model for Cov Rugby to sign up to, even if they did triple their attendance.

Yes, "People from Cov should be supporting their local side and not a franchised London team" but clearly this isn't happening and I don't think this move would automatically mean people would.

The whole thing seems like a massive lose-lose situation for Cov Rugby.

To be accused of being anti club again and attacked by other members of the SCG again like it's been pencilled in as first thing on the agenda of the meeting with a smirking TF looking on?

Let's face it the SCG is a closed shop PR outlet for SISU and it's puppets who "run" our club and their puppets who "run" the SCG who attack the representative's from the largest fans group who only represent the views of the majority of their members.
