So, with the 150 mil (?) that comes with promotion, how much of that have we already committed?

Onyeka - 8m ?
Wright/Simms promotion bump ups to Anatalyspor/Everton?
Grimes Swansea promotion bump up (?)
Squad/Staff promotion bonuses.
Required stadium upgrades (10m?)

Anything else!?

What are we thinking!??

all that is about £25m i'm guessing, its not just the TV money we get, Doug seems to be on the money with improving the commercial side. I'm guessing he might be fielding a fair few more phone calls on that end

Tbh i don't think things like stadium upgrades come out of the same pot as transfer budget if that's what you are worried about.

Wrights promo bump timed out after two years I believe so doesn’t apply. I wonder how many others that applies to.

We’ll have a transfer budget of 100 million who I think we’ll probably spend on 6/7 players is my guess, then from sales we’ll probably buy another 2/3

On players, the only ones i think we know have promotion clauses as they were released at the time were Simms, Wright, EMC... Any others as not mentioned i think we can assume the amount would be peanuts. I'm going from memory, but Simms was the most i think, maybe £3 million-ish (cba to check), Haji was about £2 million although i think someone mentioned the other day that clause may have expired. EMC was only about £1 million, i think. It's not much really.
Yes we have a commitment to sign Onyeka, around £8 million, but at least its not essentially money for nothing, we actually get the player.

Don't know the amounts, but assuming the worst and we don't stop up, there will be guaranteed parchute payments. Would these be factored in now eg. payment for stadium improvments spread over 3 years?

It's all still effectively from the same pot to be honest.

It will be interesting to see what else needs doing to the stadium in order to get it PL ready other than installing VAR.

Assuming the worst (hey, I've been a Coventry fan for the past 20+ years), we also would still have the assets in our squad, as I don't think we will sign many old players under Doug, so we might be able to recoup £60m if we spent £100m for example, so it's not just money down the drain.

Plus, any players we already have who make an impression in the prem will increase their value should we need to sell and rebuild, for example £15-20m for Milan, Haji etc. would go a long way back in the Championship.

I think it's mainly the wage bill that's the killer should the worst happen, and that's what the parachute payments are really for. I'm sure we'll manage that aspect well under King.

If we go down the first time of asking we'll only get two years of parachute payments, not three.

Which year do we not get? Because I think the 3rd year is a pittance compared with the first 2

Think it's mostly additional hospitality requirements and upgrades to the media/broadcasting facilities - more camera positions, better connectivity.

Don’t forget the increase in revenue from advertising- it’s a different rate for premier teams and their world wide exposure

I suspect we'll look to replace the PA system which to be honest has been on its last legs for years.

It'll be fine.

Referee: After a VAR review, red number 10 has "crackle ♤♡◇♧¥₩" on Sky Blue number "bzzzzzzzzzzzz" and therefore a "crackle ♤♡◇♧¥₩ bzzz" has been awarded.
