Sacked again. The only surprising thing is how long it took.

I'd have him back like a shot.

Errmm, slight error there......

I'd take him back and have him shot.

That's better.

Russel Slade has now been sacked 4 times in 20 months, that’s a sacking every 5 months!

Whoever appointed the clown in the cap at CCFC deserves to be hung, drawn and quartered.

On the other hand, I am a bit disappointed we won’t get to welcome Russel back to the Ricoh in March...but it was a big ask for him to cling on for 8 months!

Apparently, technically he wasn’t sacked. He was on a rolling 6 month contract and they’ve chosen not to roll it forward another 6 months.

No, but there was a significant amount of support for him before he was appointed.

No, you are actually wrong.

No matter how you look at it, if Mowbray wouldn't have been so shit we wouldn't have had to appoint Slade. That's even If you are in denial about Mowbray''s performance.

Sorry, but I think that's a bit bollox. By his own admission, Mowbray failed in the transfer window. But who then decided to leave a caretaker in place for 10 games and then hire possibly the most embarrassing manager we're had (Coleman aside) in our history? Mowbray was why we didn't achieve, TF (or whoever made the management decisions) was why we got relegated.

For the rest of us the appointment at the time symbolised the very nadir of what we had become as a club.

Yeah, in the same way we blame Guy Fawkes for the Gunpowder Plot, but everything planned before was down to Robert Catesby.

Fact is, Slade was Guy Fawkes and Mowbray was Catesby and it was Catesby who arranged for all the power kegs to be put in the wrong positions and recruited badly in the fellow traitor recruitment window.

I bet if you check Mowbray will be Catholic to boot.

Mowbray was like the look out on the Titanic that failed to spot the iceberg, without binoculars, Slade was the Captain, who reversed the ship back over for the iceberg for good measure.

Or they were both captains on there, but when Captain Slade finally took the helm there was already a great big fook off hole in the boat.

You are one of the biggest Mogga apologists going. He fucked us.

Mowbray was the catalyst for our relegation. He gave us a grenade that was going to explode, all Slade did was pull the pin out.
